I absolutely loved being in this hotel and didn’t want to leave. It was the end of the season so very quiet which I liked. The weather was beautiful so the rooftop and swimming pool areas were gorgeous to be in. My seaview room was comfortable and water was replenished every day. Every single member of staff was friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was fabulous and the pool bar was brilliant for lunch. Writing this makes me sad I’m not still there. Location also excellent near to restaurants and shops and the bus stop at the top of the town can take you anywhere on the island via Mahon. Barcelo is a wonderful hotel group - can’t wait to try you again.
Just returned home after a 5 day break. Really relaxing stay and facilities where great. The WiFi is the best I’ve had whilst we have stayed in a hotel before so that’s a great bonus. Roof top area is great although the bar wasn’t open until June but we understood you can’t have it always. Beware though when you go to the roofs it’s gets extremely hot so plenty of sun cream. The location of this hotel is amazing with all the boats passing by all day. Meals where on for buffet style and they have to cater for everyone. Breakfast selection was always my fav but that’s just our preference. Pool area is great and relaxed although I do hope they change the music choice to something more varied but that’s not a negative it wasn’t off putting just a note that was all if your reading this then give this place ago it’s really good and we will return the same time next year it’s really up our street for a short get away break.…
A fantastic mini break. Wonderful hotel, such friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great, very fresh and a very varied selection. The facilities were excellent. Everything was clean and tidy and we really enjoyed spending a couple of days relaxing by the pool and on the sun terrace on the roof. I used the spa one day and it was amazing. We upgraded so we had a sea view as our original room was quite overlooked. That was a good decision, the view of the sea was lovely and the room very quiet.
nice modern hotel with lovely big beds. Located right on the sea front only a short walk from a pretty bay with lots of bars and restaurants. The town is very quiet and unspoiled with only a few local shops and bars but Mahon is only a bus ride away or a 40 minute stroll. The food is international with many local dishes.
Lovely hotel, the rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable, and outside the rooms, absolutely beautiful. It's a bit far from Mahon if you're using taxi, often but worth it. I would definitely recommend for couples, solo, or a group of friends.
We had a first class trip to Barcelo Hamilton, easy bus access to Mahon and Cituadella, we will definitely be checking out this hotel group again. Friendly staff, great food with so much selection, with a beautiful lounge area overlooking the water.
Clean well equipped hotel in a small friendly resort. Had everything you need for a relaxing break away. Friendly staff. The buffet food was all hot and fresh. Great choice of breakfast. Beautiful location. Will stay again!
This was our first time back in Menorca for seven years and our first stay at the Hamilton since it became part of the Barcelo group and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we crossed the threshold we were made to feel like the only guests in the hotel. Our arrival was delayed (because of thick fog in the UK) and so the glass of cold cava was a most refreshing surprise. Check-in was quick and fuss-free, and room, with balcony and harbour view was beyond our expectations. The enormous comfortable bed was heaven-sent. Although there is a roof-top pool spa/bar we did not make use of it, neither did we use the courtyard pools as this is not something we like to do but the pools were immaculate, there were plenty of sun beds and the bars well-stocked and staffed. The evening live entertainment was only experienced en passant but what we heard was of a high quality. We only ate breakfast there and the quality and variety was excellent. All the staff from the room service team to reception and bars were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay and we were sorry to leave.…
Excellent modern cosmopolitan hotel with friendly obliging staff. Room cleaned daily, towels changed as required & refreshments updated daily. Sea view excellent but balcony a little small. Would definitely like to return. Thank you to all staff.
On arrival from airport dropped off 50 yards from reception . No Porter-had to ask for assistance from reception. Only 4 of us arrived in bus but it took 25 minutes to check us in. Good lift to 3rd floor. Bedroom more style than substance. No bathroom as such. Sink virtually in middle of room. Separate toilet and separate shower with opaque glass doors on each. No light in shower. One redeeming feature very comfortable mattresses and pillows. Shame they had double bed size bedding on single beds! All meals self service in restaurant and I mean ALL. Everyone had to get their own fruit juice ,coffee or tea from machines. Tables only set with knife and fork. You had to scrounge round to locate dessert and tea spoons. Staff only set and cleared tables. When cutlery was being laid it was clutched to chest by waitress and laid on table by handling prongs of forks and blades of knives. The hygiene training obviously had not been listened to! On at least three occasions there was some entertainment during the week in the lounge. It was very loud and unfortunately there was nowhere else if you did not want to participate. It was a bit windy on the roof bar at this time of night. Food was Ok but not very special. There was a lovely central outdoor area to sit around the pool.It was a pity you couldn't order a coffee or a drink until noon. No waiters on duty before then. What a missed opportunity for them. Apparently it is a 60 year old building which was "modernised" 10 year ago. Needs another big upgrade.Lovely location overlooking the harbour. It would have been ideal if the hotel had provided a minibus service to Mahon only 2 miles away. Appeared to be short staffed all the time. Would not return. For entertainment walk outside front and down onto harbour side for 3 or 4 nice bars and restaurants. Costs on average about 19 euros to Mahon and return.…
