Just spent a couple of days at this hotel for my wedding anniversary, basic hotel but very nice atmosphere, couple who run it are lovely and help you out with any issue that might arise, saying that we didn’t have any issues with our stay. Rooms always clean as there is a daily maid service. We had B and B and the continental breakfast is good enough to keep you going till lunchtime. Has a restaurant and bar. And prices are pretty good. Only has a few rooms so not a massive hotel all come with en-suite with powerful shower and importantly they have air con which in June was well used :) only negative was that our room was above the kitchen so we did sometimes have the smells from the ovens outside our window, but as it was sooo warm the air con was on so window was shut. A nice touch was that we were given keys to the main door as after 11pm they are shut so we were able to come and go as we pleased. The hotel doesn’t have its own pool but there is a bar over the road that has a pool you can use. Beach was only a 10 min walk away but I suggest you use the little train that goes from near the hotel down to the beach as the walk back up the steps from the beach are back breaking. There are few little shops around but main shopping is in the capital of Mahón, which is only a 15 min bus ride from the stop about 200 yards from the hotel. Cheap at only 1.70 euros per adult and of course all air conditioned. All in all a lovely break away. Would definitely use the hotel again if visiting this resort in the future 😀…

My daughter went early in May and it was terrible, there has since been a change of chef and on recommendation we tried it for the first time this year. Good news, very good food at a good price, the only fault was the lasagne was warm and not hot. Sirloon steak melted in my mouth.

Menu is a three coursee for a single price. Nice range of starters. Limited main courses with same vegetables with each one and some few deserts. the proprietor extremely cheerful which helps to compensate for a limited menu

Humble place with fantastic staff, Rafa as the manager is a great person that treats Sancho Panza as his own home and his guests as family. It is a very good quality-service deal and value for the money. Cozy, quite comfortable, very clean and tidy, quiet, familiar, very good food, fantastic staff and service. Rafa went the extra mile to satisfy a special request i had for my partner and for that i am very grateful! The location of the hostal is not centric as Cala en Porter is a bit far from Mahón/Maó, but it makes it very quiet and relaxed to be there and honestly you're not that far, as it is only a couple kilometers or miles away. I do recommend this place if it's something you are looking for within it's characteristics, we are surely coming back when we visit Menorca again. We came here for food only as we were staying in a villa down the road so cannot comment on the rooms. Restaurant was quiet when we arrived around 9pm. We were seated straight away and got drinks ordered. Food was really nice. There was four of us and we had lemon chicken, 2 lots of lamb and the fillet steak. They even butterflied my steak for me as I prefer it well done. Staff were very friendly and attentive and kept coming over to check we were okay.

Travelled here for a second time (first Sept 15, second Sept 16) Wasn't quite as good this time around. Breakfast which was adequate (bread/ham/cheese) is now buffet style and mattresses were rather hard - maybe because we stayed longer this time! The girl who cleans the rooms does a fabulous job and the room and ensuite were spotless - towels replaced every other day. The restaurant and bar downstairs continues to flourish and is worth a visit. We LOVE Cala'n Porter and will return again soon

In a few words...you can't go wrong with this restaurant! The set menu is great value and has ample selection for all tastes. The staff are attentive but not in your face. This is a good venue for couples, friends or families Can't comment on the accommodation as we dind' t stay there

Castillo sancho plaza was where we stayed between 15-18th July 2016 it was basic but the price echoed that and for half board we couldn't complain. The breakfast was very minimal but can't expect a lot for the price. Dinner was lovely (we are there 1 night) wished we'd eaten there 2 nights. The hotel is 10 mins max from the airport €20 in a taxi. The beach is down a bit of a steep hill but easily accessible Wifi is off and on the best place to get it is in the hotel bar as its near the router! One thing they need to change was the mattresses, we could feel every spring. All in all a good hotel great with a couple of changes
