Stayed here for two nights with children. Room was adequate, children's bed was sofa bed which was hard for them to sleep on, no aircon. Tea coffee facilities and good TV. Staff friendly good choice of breakfast each morning. There was a leaky waste pipe from upstairs which cause a problem in morning. But these things happen but was fixed...

Our party of five had a really warm welcome from Danielle and Gavin, and they could not have been more helpful. Very comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. Springfield House is ideally situated in Rothbury, and there is much to do in the delightful countryside round and about.

Very dated place that could be excellent as the building is really nice and the location is excellent but it really needs a good coat of paint and more! Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful but it definitely needs some money spending on the place!!

We stayed here for three nights and found the staff to be very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast was great and they even set up for me to have an early one for my early start. Great village location and friendly pubs and a cafe and chip shop nearbye.

The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, for me its the people that make the place. Big comfortable rooms with everything you need. It is perhaps a little bit tired around the edges if you notice that kind of thing, but its a beautiful old building in a lovely town and the price is exceptional. I would stay...

We were very disappointed with our room. Definitely needs upgrading. Smelled of mould, wallpaper coming away from the wall due to damp. Our curtains moved around all the time as there was that much wind coming through the window. The room was freezing. It was warmer outside. Bathroom painted in bright orange which is horrendous. Think it was hiding a...

One good point - lovely breakfast. Room seriously needs updating. Wallpaper hanging off walls, no bulb in lamp, windows all condensed up in between glass panes, heating doesn't work so had a electric heater in room, carpet frayed with holes and the smell in the room was terrible which we mentioned for the reply to be "oh I've had cold...

Friendly staff and spacious room. However the bathroom was not nice. Lots of black mould in the shower and thick dust on the door frame. The bare pillows were poking out the pillow case. Bed side lamps didn't work.
