Stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of July with my husband for a short break. Found it by chance on search of area online. It has a really high standard with beautifully appointed rooms although our room which was at the top of the house turned out to be rather too warm ( not often you can say...

Only a one-night stay in the Lauren Suite but wished we were their longer. Comfortable, very spacious, very well appointed & clean. We received a lovely welcome in which we enjoyed our welcome drink and a relaxed conversation regarding dietary requirements, local info etc. Nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable breakfast was cooked to order and catered for...

We had a fantastic stay here. We upgraded to the Blue Room and it was well worth it. a beautiful room and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The welcome drink was very appreciated and the chocolates in our room were gorgeous. The service was welcoming and the breakfast was very good. Will definitely be going back.

Normally prefer hotels, but for some unknown reason, this part of Northumberland was almost fully booked! After reading the reviews on TA. we were quite happy to give it a try. Cannot fault the place at all. Bearing in mind this is a small establishment, the choice of breakfast is very good, and cooked to order, rather than a buffet...

I stayed here last week unexpectedly. Although it is not my kind of hotel I cannot fault the establishment. The staff were attentive and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean although I do prefer a more modern hotel, again it was up to a very high standard. The breakfast was good but felt was a bit basic, the...

My husband and I recently stayed at Orchard house in Rothbury, a lovely little village in Northumberland. I was a little perturbed on arrival because the front of the house appears very austere and bland. No flowers or plants or welcome sign just a small name above the door , We weren't by a lovely lady who brought us refreshing...

A warm welcome greeted our arrival when we were offered hot towels and a chilled bucks fizz, before being shown to our first floor suite. A stylish suite of rooms where the decoration was tasteful but the settee was less than comfortable a tea/coffee tray but a kettle that didn't work properly and on a plate when we arrived were...
