The Wife and I had a short break in early October to explore Northumberland, and Tosson Tower Farm came highly recommended. The owners couldn't be friendlier or more welcoming, and yet so discrete that we felt we had the run of half of the farm house to ourselves. The location (complete with mini-castle, sheep and local cattle) has a working...

We had made a mistake with a booking and there was "no place at the inn" until the owner and daughter in law found a solution for us. We stayed in a beautiful barn conversion with lovely, far reaching views and in such a peaceful location. Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the valley and Rothbury hills in the...

We were looking for somewhere in the area to stay as we had tickets for Kielder Observatory. We always go self catering as we like to have our privacy and be able to come and go as we please. However we couldn't find anywhere available nearby for our dates. So after extensive research we decided to give our first B&B...

A wonderful location, friendly welcome, excellent service, great food, comfortable well furnished and clean rooms, and fantastic views. A really perfect short break for a special occasion or just for a treat. Heartily recommended and we very much hope to be back soon as there is plenty to see and do in the area. Brilliant!

A warm welcome, a perfect room, and a delicious breakfast, all in a perfect Northumbrian location. With the fifteenth century pele tower just outside our bedroom window, Coquetdale spread out before you, and the hills all around, you are immersed in history. We only stayed for two nights, but there is so much to explore that I am sure we...

We had a perfect stay here for three nights. We stayed in the Mill Race room which was very comfortable (the bed was heaven) and spotless. We were made to feel welcome by Ann and her helpers from the first moment we arrived. The views of the valley are stunning and one can see it also from the breakfast room...

Stayed two nights in one of the mill race rooms. The farm is in a stunning hillside location overlooking the picturesque valley. Comfortable bed, good bathroom, good breakfast. A short drive to Rothbury which has a couple of pubs and the excellent national Trust Cragside house and gardens. Good walks, particularly up Simonside.
