The staff are wonderful the breakfast is terrible, the rooms are clean but ugly and dated no hairdryer and the smallest tv I have ever seen! Bathroom smells strongly of Detox, the location is stunning if you get a room with the loch view. The chef is incredibly noisy if you happen to be in room 3.

A quaint hotel of the water's edge [almost] we had the most unexpectedly good seafood chowder - piled high with seafood was the promise and it was delivered. The maitre-de was very personable and made us all feel relaxed. highly recommended

Old and outdated rooms, pretty noisy from kitchen and aisle, bathroom far beyond any standards. Shower very narrow, water temperature either steam or ice. At the end totally over priced for such a bad room. Had far better rooms during our 12 days trip through Scotland for even less money. No recommendation even for the breakfast.

The hosts are very hospitable, the food of good quality and the staff very helpful. Our problems were in our room right by the kitchen. The curtains were too thin and let in light so they could have been thicker and the kettle on the floor level was dangerous. The lead was too short to put it on a unit...

Lovely meal. Friendly staff. Room and facilities excellent. Magic views over loch. Clean and tidy . Some refurbished required as some decor dated but would be h appy to stay again. There is no lift but we on first floor so no problem. Reasonable price for bed and breakfast.

We felt comfortable from the minute we arrived. Welcoming and hospitable staff. A lovely situation overlooking a river which comes in from the sea. It was cloudy when we arrived but it didn't spoil things. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant overlooking the river again. After a good nights sleep in a lovely bed we went down to a...

A comfortable place to stay. They do not have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage. The staff on duty in the evening were very courteous. We arrived late, after a long journey and they kept the kitchen open and ensured that we had dinner. Didnt rush us through our meal. However, the next morning we came down...

Great hotel decor is dated and our shower was very small but the staff were very friendly and helpful great as its located just outside of the centre which is great. The view from the restaurant is brilliant.

My wife and I have used this hotel many times over the years, and under the present management it has been revitalised and brought back to its former glory. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and some have breathtaking views out over the sea loch, while the restaurant offer is consistently good. The hotel is a great location for Oban...
