The Oyster Inn is a restaurant and small hotel just past the bridge at Connel, Oban. It is painted bright blue so you cannot miss it and inside the public decor is a nautical navy and white. We stayed here two nights at either end of a trip farther north to the Outer Hebrides. The food in the restaurant was...

Decided to visit again after a 10 year break and was not disappointed. The room was comfortable and the en-suite shower room clean with a good sized cubicle, only two points let the accommodation down one being the lack of sound proofing(could hear every sound from adjacent rooms) and there appeared to be a faint unpleasant smell(stale cigarette smoke ?)....

My partner and I are huge fans of the Oban area and holiday at Tralee Bay in Benderloch near Connel several times a year. We had never dined in the Oyster Inn before but had heard good reviews from the locals so, having time to kill before catching our 12:30 bus home to Glasgow, decided to pop in for breakfast....

Stayed at the Oyster for 5 days recently. The manager and staff were great - all were friendly, chatty and extremely helpful, and the food was excellent - particularly the seafood, which I sampled most nights!!!! The room was clean and perfectly adequate. Here's hoping next time I have to work down there my company books me in the Oyster...

We have driven past the Oyster Inn on many, many trips but last weekend was the first time we ventured in. It was wonderful, the staff were attentive and the service was perfectly timed. We had Scallops & Langoustines as main courses and both were beautifully fresh and presented tastefully. The kids had burgers and chips; everything was polished off...

Checked in to find dinner had not been reserved as requested, aggressive check in staff did not help. Service at dinner awful wrong drinks served, starters, main courses not available (you want seafood order ahead and reserve food from onlinemenu) time between courses way too long 1hr between starter and main. Staff overworked trying their best but not worth the effort...

Popped in for dinner with my fiance's family who were over from Australia. The food was incredible, every course had praise with 5 different people ordering 3 course's. The wine menu was superb, number 14 was a find. :) but thee best part of the night was the white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake. The best dessert I've had in 10...

It's a few years since we stayed in the Oyster Inn – not too much had changed, but I'm sorry to say that, without our previous experience, the things that HAD changed would have made for a far more negative review. The staff appeared to be struggling bravely on through a lack of strong leadership, which I hope it temporary....

We were on our way to Oban to catch the boat to Mull. As we had started early we had not eaten breakfast so we decided to stop here. We were a bit late for breakfast but the staff obliged by cooking us breakfast. The breakfast was first class and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location and views...

We stayed here for one night, and also had dinner in the restaurant. The hotel was very easy to find and is in an excellent location for viewing the Falls of Lora, check in was easy and reasonably welcoming. However, an email sent during the week before asking to upgrade our booking was not responded to. There could do to...
