Great for escaping noise, the city, everything! The beach is beautiful, the atmosphere calm and friendly, the rooms are spacious, clean and the host just makes you feel like home. Great for a restful, romantic getaway.

To begin with: we could not find enough superlatives to describe the incredibly natural, elegant, unobtrusive and warm welcome and service of the Bambu crew and the spontaneous and creative devotion with which the place has been created and cared for. People (in Germany) thought we are crazy when we declared our decision to visit our friends in Mexico with...

Bambu Ecocabañas with its cosy design, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, ocean view & super reasonable rates is really the place to spend your holidays. The kitchen is well equipped and we bought fruits & veggies and other food stuff at the local stores which is a win-win arrangement. The blueish/turquise styled cabañas are simple & lovely. Memo, the owner,...

Bambu Eco-Hotel is right by the beach. Rooms are open and you can fall asleep with the sound of the waves. This place is ideal for people who want to enjoy nature and have a very relaxed vacation. It is rejuvenating to spend a few days in such a quiet place. Very recommended!

Bambu's "eco cabanas" are funky rooms with open air design, conch - shell showers, and mosquito net draped beds. Kind of like Robinson Crusoe - Mexican style. Forget privacy. Even the bathroom in one unit we stayed in, the "Palapa", has no door. Fortunately the surf noise drowns out alot on the property, at least in the ocean front rooms....

Travelling with my 92 year old mother..I was hesitant about the rustic nature of the southern beaches. Our visit at Memo's "Bambu eco cabanas" was everything and more than we expected! We were treated very well and enjoyed every aspect of the cabanas. Memo and his staff were always ready to make us comfortable...we made a lot of our own...

We spent 10 days at this beautiful place and hope to spend many more in the future! Memo made us feel so welcome and we left knowing that one day we would return. If you spent your 20s backpacking and know you could never go back but miss the atmosphere of those chilled (non party) backpacker style places then this...

We had a fabulous time staying here for four days over Christmas. So relaxing and peaceful. Reading in hammocks, lying on the beach, eating fresh seafood. We stayed in the room on the bottom floor at the front. Fabulous as you walked straight out onto the beach and often we opened the doors early in the morning and could see...

I have been visiting for 12 years, and each time a new surprise, but the same smiling accommodating faces as the day I first arrived. Sun, guaranteed, quiet time, guaranteed, meeting new friends, it depends on your willingness to extend your own social barriers. The communal style kitchen creates a unique social experience, a chance to learn and share. Fresh...

Memo was exceptionally accomodating of my needs during my stay in SA and arranged a special price for me during low season. Which very kind considering the town was actually all booked up for a wedding!! He has created an incredible ambience in this boutique hostel. There are multiple taps to wash off your feet, beautiful paths and big healthy...
