Great location with awesome views, however cleanliness is definitely not a concern, the trash you throw away in your room you will see again the next day spread all over the hillside. Recycling means, out of your room and over the rail for all to see. Absent owner is unaware or doesn't care as long as the bill is paid....

This is such a sweet quite place. I was traveling as a solo lady and felt quite safe and cozy here. I attended Hridaya yoga school some days and often just enjoyed being so close to the sea and did a lot of "me". The rooms are nice and clean... Maybe a bug here and there nothing to get excited...

A few minutes walk from Mazunte, this place is one of the most peaceful you can find in town and it has a great view, especially from the upper rooms we stayed in. It is not a luxury hotel but we had all the amenities we needed including free, decent Wifi. It has great rates compared to the main beach...

While looking for a place in Mazunte and San Agustillino, we loved the pictures of posasa la barca, a small hotel located in between cliffs, facing the Pacific ocean... We got a room on the top of the hotel (N°9) and were stunned by the beauty of the place. The room was clean (don't expect anything extremely fancy, it's simple...

This is a fabulous place, but with a bit more attention it could be even better. The best thing about the Posado La Barca is its unique, private location down a short dirt road and on a little sandy cove. There is excellent snorkeling right in front of the beach and, if you're lucky, as we were, you can see...

A gem in the rough! If you are looking for a 5 star hotel keep looking but if you are looking for a great little place on a quiet almost private beach then you have found it. The rooms are simple but we had a fridge and and a coffee pot so we had everything we needed. With the view...

This place is comfortable, reasonable and safe - Kitchenette's, or not, really comfortable beds, on the beach, walking distance to either town. I will be back!!! Clean, nice, safe and simple! If you are looking for 5 stars this is not the place - it is a secret gem. thank you Jose & Queqa...

Just returned from our 4th stay at PLB (Dec 06, DEc 07, Dec 08 and Dec 09), and we'll be going back as soon as possible. Google San Agustinillo and you'll see what a great beach a location this is. Remote, undeveloped, gorgeous beach. Lots of restaurants on beach as well as in town. No phones. No cell coverage. (There...

As there were so few reviews I was a bit apprehensive about a 9 nite stay at Posada La Barca. From planning via the internet to our last nite...everything was perfect. We concluded that we had the best view in the area and our proximity to all San Agustinillo had to offer was prime. We loved the snorkelling by the...

We stayed here for two weeks and really loved the place and the owner Jose. We were lucky enough to meet Jose (a Texan of Mexican descent) who was completing the final touches to the new part of the hotel, before heading back to Texas. We stayed in the orginal, much smaller part of the hotel and actually preferred it....
