We ended staying here for 3 nights as we couldn't travel to Solentiname because of the weather. I was so peaceful and tranquil here at the end of the village. The upper deck with rocking chairs and hammocks was just lovely to watch the river action and lots of birds. Our room was just the first one in so we...

The hotel Victoria is in a good location. It has a lovely balcony where you can sit and watch the world go by whilst sipping a beer. It is run by 2 sisters who are very friendly and helpful. Food is good too.

We were in El Castillo twice in February, 2017. One day we had breakfast and one day we had lunch at Hotel Victoria. The owners are wonderful and provide excellent food and service. We had eggs, gallo pinto, fruit, toast and coffee for breakfast. Plenty to eat and excellent. The restaurant is overlooking the river and so peaceful. Lots of...

Stayed one night at the Victoria on our first day of a trip down the Rio de San Juan. Laid back but clean with all the amenities you could want (A/C, wi-fi, etc.). We stayed in a room on the second floor right next the balcony. Hanging out on the porch, sipping a beer, and watching the pangas gliding up...

My wife and I booked another hotel in El Castillo only to find out they raised the price once we arrived. We walked around and found Hotel Victoria. My wife Margarita stared to talk to the owner Nena. It ended up being a two hour conversation. Nena is such a wonderful lady. We booked a room and found it to...

We spent (unfortunately) only 1 night at this hotel. We loved it. Nice location at the river, really clean, good WiFi, nice hammocks but above all really nice, friendly, client oriented and happy :) owners/staff. The two ladies running the place are a delight! Wish them all the best and maybe one time come back! A must stay when in...

Wanted to stay at the hotel but they never respond to emails or online reservation form, so we stayed at another hotel on the opposite side of town which we loved. We stopped by once to get lunch and then another time for dinner with our 5 year old, but they seemed indifferent and annoyed by our presence so we...

Stayed here for two nights in torrential rain. Wished it could have been longer. The room was large with spectacular views of the river. Great air con, a huge super king bed and a single. The food in the restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I highly recommend the chicken soup. For the English visitors they serve great...
