Stayed here for a week whilst trying to see the Eurasian Lynx. Didn't see one but enjoyed our stay all the same. Ramone and Immaculada the twin hots of the property are a delight, very friendly and hospitable and couldn't do enough for us. The food was fairly basic but plentiful and varied with lots of local dishes including Wild...

We were booked in La Caracola as a base to try and see Iberian lynx. Unfortunately the hotel did not have rooms at the last minute but put us up in a cottage a couple of km away. Fine- warm and clean, but not so handy for dinner and breakfast. The food was excellent and the service friendly and very...

This is a truly amazing place. Very tranquil. Beautiful land, friendly animals, lovely modern rooms, great hosts, great food. 10/10. I can say without hesitation that I enjoyed my stay here more than at any other place in Spain.

Spent a couple of nights here in January 2016. It is a charming place, with very nice owners and staff and a very good spanish cuisine! It is a beautiful kind of boutique hotel settled on a lovely property and a good touch point for any wildlife activity in the area of the Sierra de Andujar where the lynx are...

A warm and friendly rural retreat, with the best of attention from the family owners, Ramon & Inma. We spent 4 comfortable nights in this superb location, an ideal base for Lynx and bird watching. Our room was clean, warm with an especially large memory foam bed. Exceptional value, great food and picnics provided on request. The wifi was variable...

We spent a week at this, our first Hotel Rural in Spain, with the informality and rural setting of a chambre d’hôtes in France, and it enabled us to stay right on the edge of the Parque Natural de Andùjar in northern Andalucia. The Parque is known for its wild Spanish linxes (we didn’t see any) but is also superb...

We stayed here in Jan to spend time looking for lynx. The house was beautiful and rustic. Despite the weather being very chilly we were warm and cozy in our room and the lounge had a lovely open fire. The owners were lovely people and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was fresh and delicious. We will...

We stayed at this small hotel with friends for 3 nights on the advice of our local wildlife guide. It is a delightful small hotel where you rapidly start to feel part of the family. Ramon and Imma (the owners) were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you, the food was excellent and the bedrooms thoughtfully planned out with...

We stayed two nights at this property, recommended by our local guide to visit Sierra Morena. It is located near the visitors center of the natural park, so it is a good departure point for nature walks and other visits around the Sierra. The house, while originally a traditional Andalusian house, has been renovated and adapted to fit the modern...

Stayed a total of 3 nights here. Boutique style hotel with lovely pool. La Caracola is an old manor house situated on an estate that previously produced olive oil. In fact the large terracotta urns that used to hold the oil are now in the bar area cleverly illuminated and converted into high bar tables. Situated in 70,000 sq m...
