Set on the Atlantic beach with its white sands and occasional dolphin erupting from the deep blue, almost Caribbean water this surely has to be the most amazing hotel and restaurant in the world. After a 1 hour flight from Glasgow a warm welcome from Joan and the team will be there after a short taxi from Barra airport, where...

I have been visiting the hotel for many years and to stay on the last night of the season was great . The hotel goes from strength to strength and the constant reinvestment by the owners is evident each year. Lovely bathrooms and an extension of the seaside interpretation is stylish and tasteful .The hotel was full and had a...

We just spent a couple of nights at this hotel as part of a package holiday. What a fabulous place to stay. The views are amazing. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The food is good as was the service. The staff and that includes the owners are easy to deal with. If they can they will help you with anything...

Stayed with my wife for two nights in mid August. We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was comfortable, had a great view over the beach, nice meals and a friendly atmosphere. Hotel is in a good position to explore Barra and the surrounding islands. Would be very happy to visit again.

One definition of a good hotel is an establishment which is hospitable to residents and non-residents alike. This establishment does not even nearly meet that basic standard. We were staying in nearby cottages for a week in July. We thought how handy it would be to have a hotel within walking distance, to have evening drinks or a meal. Sadly,...

Dear Dianne M You raise a number of issues which need a reply and we will try to answer them accurately and with relevant comment where appropriate. I stayed here with a coach party for one night. Hotel is in a great location right by the beach which is fabulous for a bracing walk. Evening meal was from a set menu and was very nice. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated, bathroom shower wasn't the best interns of pressure but was more than adequate. Would recommend staying...

The hotel has gorgeous views over the Atlantic Ocean and a beautiful, sandy beach; this alone makes this a great place to stay. The quirky building, creaking noisily at every footfall, gives opportunities for more of these views, and the nautically themed, rather rustic decor provides plenty to see indoors also. Everything seemed clean and bright, but the bedhead radios...

Such nice people run this hotel and invite their guests to be comfortable and at home here. Ask for a sea view room and you cannot be disappointed. Turquoise arcs of surf wash up onto a white sand beach and break in breath taking white lace necklaces. The lounge and dining room also have large windows to take in the...

We thought we had landed in paradise. Beautiful location which was reflected in the expensive price. Only to find the bathroom bin was filled with the previous guests embarrassing personal & used items! As there are no phones in the room I took the bin down to reception to highlight the issue. Unfortunately. the owner was more upset that I...

Dear Karen L Thank you for your review which came as a shock to us. It was the first we had heard of this incident and we apologise for the accidental failure to empty the bin in your room, the rude reception you received on taking the bin into the reception, and our lack of action on making it up...

We have been to at least one of every major Island groups around the world. Islands come at a premium because everything has to be brought in by boat or plane....having said that....the hotel was excellent value. At £135 for a very sweet sea and beach view room with excellent breakfasts...it is top job. When you add in the dreamy...
