Lovely modern accommodation with luxury touches! Good food and friendly accommodating hosts. I was travelling home via Barra after trout fishing in South Uist and Mary Ann allowed me some freezer space to keep my catch in good condition Early departure for ferry was also not a problem.

This is a lovely B&B in the middle of the Island in close proximity of all the attractions. The twin room was very clean and roomy with a good bathroom. Hosts were very busy and involved in Island life. They were very helpful with ideas to fill our days. Breakfast was delicious with the option of a full Scottish Breakfast.... More

Due to ferry disruption we had an island hopping journey en route to Benbecula which had to include an overnight stay in Barra. Sarah was the perfect hostess providing us with a very comfortable room and a beautiful breakfast . Our only complaint was we had to leave a catch the ferry to Eriskay .

We stayed two nights. I was amazed to find such a modern, spacious, and well-appointed room in such a rural setting. Full Scottish breakfast was impeccable. TV in guest lounge. King bed. Mattress and pillows very soft. En Suite bathroom with shower. Extra linens in room. Loads of wardrobe space. In-room tea and instant coffee. Recommend picnicking or reservations at... More

My dad and I stayed here on our final stop during our Outer Hebrides tour. The twin room was lovely, with great beds and good bathroom. The rooms lack television facilities but there is a considerably-sized guest lounge for visitors to use. Breakfast was lovely, although perhaps providing guests with self-service options for cereals/fruits and a menu for cooked breakfast... More

We stayed two nights here and wish it could have been longer ! Modern house, great view, comfy bed and lovely breakfast - what more do you need? Ok, weather could have been better but that is nothing to do with the property or host. Friendly welcome from Mary Ann and family - thank you for a excellent stay. Hope... More

We stayed one night on Barra as we travelled up the outer isles. We arrived on a rather wet and windy evening. The b&b is a short drive from Castle Bay do very handy coming off the ferry. It is a little hard to spot from the road so look out for the Croit Na h-Aibh sign when driving up.... More

Clean and spacious room, including a very spacious bathroom, with a sea view. There is a beautifully decorated and very comfortable guest lounge with lots of leaflets, maps and books to inspire you and help you decide what to see. I found the wifi fast and reliable. I was made to feel very welcome and the breakfasts were delicious. Quite... More

The b&b is a very short drive from castle bay, and close to a lovely beach. The room wasspacious and the beds were comfy. The cooked breakfast was really nice. An additional choice of cereal for children would be my only suggestion. The b&b is in a good location for travelling around the island, with Vatersay close by.

You will need a car to stay at Croit No h-Aibhne and a bit of an adventurous spirit to find it although the house was exactly where it should have been based on the very specific directions that we had been given. The Borve area is a little remote from where the ferry pulls in which is not a bad... More
