It is almost impossible to fault the Hotel La Canna in any way. In its breathtaking setting it looks like a luxury resort, but it is not; it is a superbly run family inn. But it isn’t rustic either; it’s right in the middle, with all the necessary comforts and wonderful food too. The family members who run the inn,...

Me and my wife stayed in Filicudi and Hotel La Canna five days. On our earlier travels in Sicily we had visited other Eolian Islands but this was our first time in Filicudi. The island is peaceful and charming and Hotel La Canna is situated uphill from the port, so views from terraces of the rooms are unforgettable. While you...

La Canna is situated above Filicudi port and our terrace had incredible views towards Salina. Hotel very welcoming and we enjoyed our half board at lunch, though for dinner the choice was limited. Lovely room and hotel perfectly positioned for amazing island walks. Recommended.

Excellent dinner with a group of 10 people: beautiful view, mouth-watering primo piatti (try the Sicilian pesto and the Norma pasta) and fish a la plancha. The house wine was very good as well. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant if you pass by Filicudi. The small climb to the top of the hill where the restaurant is...

The great attraction for us of Filicudi is its simple unspoilt charm. That also sums up this hotel. It may only have 3 stars but it's got 5 star appeal. Firstly it's in an exceptional location, clinging to the mountainside with wonderful open views to the islands of Salina, Panarea and Stromboli. The small dining terrace on the upper level...

We had the most wonderful time at Hotel La Canna and can only recommend it. We were just host of the restaurant where we had the most delicious lunches and dinners during our stay on the island. But we were immediately greeted and treated as if we were part of the family. The welcoming of the Anastasi family is simply...

This place is the bomb, or what I like to call the 'whole package'. Spectacular view, great pool, attentive staff, aesthetically beautiful, good food & great little town with a terrific beachside trattoria. Vincenzo runs a tight ship and kudos to him. I was torn on wether to do this review (maybe keep it quiet).... But it's isolated and hard...

I stayed at La Canna (and in Filicudi) for 3 nights. The hotel itself isn't perfect: my room wasn't very big and the bathroom was a bit damp, with a shower only surrounded by a curtain and without a shower base. So the room itself was very very basic. Also the breakfast wasn't a big deal. But that was quickly...

We only had lunch on the terrace, from which you can enjoy an unbelievable view over several of the Eolian islands. The location is absolutely quiet. The light breeze often present due to the height (about 100 m above sea level) is just perfect. The personnel was really friendly and helpful, although we had not reserved, as required. At last...
