There are few places that get extremely close to your heart at the very first go. Koh Samui had everything to offer more than we had imagined. It was our first trip overseas and My!! What a beautiful peace of heaven on Earth!! Had it not been for Chura Samui, we would not have had so much to absorb. We are basically solitude lovers but not entirely crowd-haters so this location was ideal for us. A little away from the common din yet it had all the basic necessities near at hand-be it 7/11s or sumptuous eateries and not to forget the flea market and the massage parlour offering myriads of them!! The breakfast at the hotel is definitely something to look forward to and you would love it. Now to come to the room that was promised to us- it took us to seventh heaven altogether. We were all exhausted when the staff came forward with a glass of refreshing drink as we were waiting eagerly for our rooms. And we were absolutely taken aback when we saw a villa facing the sea awaiting us!! The beach was squeaky clean and was a treat for eyes and feet and we used to spend hours with the breeze passing by us..the room had a rustic feel to it which went absolutely well with the ambience. Moreover there are plenty of cheap means of transport available nearby to take you to the popular beaches. I would not do justice if I miss out on the hospitality that the staffs had offered us. We could not have asked for more.We are already looking forward to our next visit as soon as we can to say the least.

Nice smaller resort. Good size of Rooms with own terrace or balcony. terrace of Rooms on the Ground Floor mainly very close to the ways across the Resort. This might be a lack of privacy. However, there are rooms with a bit more distance to the way (about 2-5 meter). The resort is not that old, but due to weather circumstances, it might smell a bit musty inside the room. Quite good breakfast. The variety of cheese and sausage is quite low (1 type each). Staff around the resort is very friendly and endeavored. Nice pool with direct view to the ocean. Note that resort is about 15-20 minutes’ walk to the high spots of Chaweng beach, but it is quite easy to get a car outside for not that much fee. The ocean is not recommended for swimming or snorkeling. First 200-300 meters are just about 1.50m depth and not that clean (inside the water). So it is more a quite area at the beach ideal for relaxing. Would come again.

For a five night stay we chose this hotel because it is situated in Chaweng which is the fun area of samui with restaurants, activities, hotels, bars etc. Since taxi are very expensive in samui compared to Thailand in general we wanted to be able to walk around and find nice places easily. Staying at Chura samui was very relaxing, they have an amazing pool by the beach and a super friendly and kind staff. It is perfectly situated right on the beach but at the same time away from all the noises, you can enjoy long walks on the beach, stop by little reggae, chill bars enjoy a couple of drinks, and just relax.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights whilst in Ko Samui. The hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean and toiletries were provided for us. The minibar in the room was quite pricey so definitely get snacks from the near 7/11 rather than eating the minibar snacks.
The staff were friendly and organised taxis for us when needed.
The location of this hotel was average. It was right on the beach so was great in terms of getting to the sea and the restaurant next door was nice for drinks however on the night time if you wanted to be more involved e.g Ark Bar or Elephant Bar, this was quite a walk along the beach (15 minutes). Walking back in the dark wasn’t easy as there was not always lights shining on the beach.

I’ve just had another amazing stay at Chura Samui Resort in Chaweng. I was welcomed home by the warm and friendly smiling reception team as soon as I arrived. The check-in process was seamless and very prompt. I'd originally booked a Deluxe room which I spent my first night in and then was given an upgrade by the manager to a 1 Bedroom Studio Suite which was a very nice surprise. The Deluxe rooms are spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed, great facilities and amenities, super strong air conditioning, and wifi. It had a great-sized balcony/deck area which overlooked the grounds and an internal Japanese garden. This was great for relaxing after a long day. The 1 Bedroom Studio Suite is even more amazing with a patio with deck chairs, seperate lounge/tv area and wardrobe space. From here you enter the large bedroom with an extra large super comfortable bed with mosquito netting, air-con and wifi. The bathroom is an enormous space which is indoor/outdoor with double vanity area, seperate toilet and shower and large free standing bathtub. The pool is spectacular and a great size with plenty of sunbeds for guests to use with nice views of the sea, it also gets plenty of sun for most of the day. The breakfast and restaurant were really nice with a great spread every morning. The coffee was also very good. Overall Chura Samui Resort is a fantastic little find. It has everything you need from great room comforts, pool, service, amazing staff, reasonable rates and a perfect location not to far from the hustle of busy Chaweng. Thank you to the team for making my 2nd stay at Chura Samui Resort so welcoming. I will definitely be back to stay when I return to Samui :)

Chura Samui exceeded all our expectations! Such a cosy little oasis with attentive and friendly staff! We stayed in one of the beach suites and the room was spacious and well equipped, only a stone throw away from the beach and the pool area. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide range of options to choose from, but we particularly enjoyed the mouthwatering banana & Nutella waffle. Location is great too - just a short walk along the beach to Chaweng town. Special shout to the reception staff who were always very accommodating, friendly and professional! Overall a great weekend and we will definitely be back again

Beautiful grounds, really authentic, exceptionally peaceful. Walkway through hotel grounds to beach is super pretty. Breakfast had a great range of foods; we especially enjoyed the pancakes, and fruit juices! Rooms were spacious and attractive. The aircon is quite loud but works wonders in Ko Samui heat. Only issue with rooms is that there’s no mosquito nets, and there’s gaps in the door frames, so we got bitten a LOT! No matter how much repellent spray we put on! The pool was never too busy which was good. The prices at the pool bar were quite steep so we steered clear, but there are restaurants up and down the beach in front to fulfil any thirst/food needs. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. Minus the mosquito bites, we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms. We had 2 rooms with a connecting door, 1 room had a double bed and 1 room had two single beds. Spacious bathroom without bath. Beautiful pool overlooking the beach. Just few sunbeds at the pool or on the beach. People actually put down towels. We always had a bed when we went to the pool after breakfast, but if you came later you were out of luck.
Very good breakfast. Coffee/tea is brought to your table, fresh eggs are made upon request and various other choices such as yogurt, pancakes, bread and salads. There are stairs to breakfast (rooms are lower than the breakfast room) without a lift. If you have difficulty walking, this is not very useful.
Lunch is possible at the pool bar, but not cheap. On the beach you can get smoothies and fresh coconut for more than half. In addition, there is a delicious restaurant (Your Place) next to the hotel where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and dinner, from club sandwiches to steaks and Thai dishes. Also a fireshow every evening around 8:00 PM and delicious cocktails!
In addition to the hotel, also various massages. Costs are 300 bath for a Thai massage. Hotel charges double!
Location is great at the end of Chaweng beach. There are several tuktuk cars driving to and from the center. Beautiful Central Samui shopping center a few minutes away. There is also a scooter rental company opposite the hotel. Cost for one scooter was 200 bath per day. In addition, laundry around the corner for 50 bath per kilo. In the hotel it was 150 bath per kilo. Also a 7Eleven 5 minutes away.

We stayed here for two weeks and are on our way back home today. This hotel is really peaceful and the staff are great. Breakfast really varied and fresh. Location was spot on for us. Not in the thick of the madness but just enough around us for drinks and food. The hotel has an adults only feel About it even though it isn’t. This was great as we wanted peace. Only issue was the last night. We had new neighbours who thought it was acceptable to start shouting in the early hours right outside our door! Also when we were checking out the man on reception said he just wanted to check our room. We thought this was great however he came back and said we had drank a can of soda water. It took a good 5 mins to explain that we had opened the can a few days previously and it had been included in our already paid room bill. Despite this he got out our room bill and checked through the list for the soda water. Of course it was on there but this left is a bit peeved to say the least. We would definitely come back despite the problem on checking out.

Our family of four have just returned from a 9-night stay at this lovely hotel. Located at the quieter northern end of Chaweng beach allowing complete rest and relaxation. The hotel is modern in design but within a wonderful natural setting between trees, tropical plants and palm trees. It is on the smaller and more intimate side and all the better for it. The service is wonderful and you soon get to know all staff members. The large pool is right on the beach with an adjacent bar that serves the best fruit shakes. There are lots of food places and bars within walking distance ranging from cheap beachside options to 5-star restaurants. 20 minute walk to the main strip along the road or access to the full length of Chaweng beach along the sand. There’s also scooters to rent in various spots outside the resort that may be less expensive. The insurance is an interesting piece though. You need to have a current drivers license with motorcycle endorsement as well as on your insurance, covered for scooters/motorcycles to be fully valid.
The insurance they provide is pretty much nil. If the scooter is damaged it’s expensive and if it’s a write off, you’ll be required to pay for the whole thing.
Scooters everywhere though, but something to keep in mind as there was confusion when renting.
There are more places to choose from in the Chaweng area.
