This is a really lovely hotel with pools and sea front. The staff is very friendly, attentive, service oriented and involved when we had to deal with a small medical problem. Jeen and Yao in particular greeted us every day with a talk and big smile. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. We had a beautiful garden room bungalow, no. 514, with a wonderful shower. The hotel is located on a very busy street, but you will not notice it in the hotel. As with every hotel, laying the 'towel' is prohibited, but not enforced. However, there were enough sunbeds. Also late check out was no problem.
The rooms with spa bath were so amazing and relaxing! The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast buffet was incredible!! Definitely going back, the beach front is perfect. Everything was amazing!
It was amazing, so much fun and great people here. Love it. The personnel was really Nice. The view from the hotel looked like in fairytail. I must say i’ve never experienced such an amazing hotel yet like this.
Our family party of four spent from 8th to 20th March 2023 at this great resort. As close to a perfect holiday as you can get! And the word "great" covers 99% of this review! The resort location, layout, and natural beauty; the accommodation with their design, excellent lighting, storage, and air-conditioning; the staff and their friendly helpfulness; the professionalism in all areas around the resort and the breakfasts where only the dried-out breads could be improved upon. And just across the road is plentiful shopping with very good restaurants close by. And, as a bonus, the weather and sea were close to perfect throughout our stay. A very highly recommended resort!!! 😀😀😀😀
The hotel is very nice and so clean,, and they are so cind with us they help us in iny small eshuse , the staff are very cind , spichilly (may ) she is super elegant, the location is perfect, and the food is amazing
This Ressort has seriously been hit by Thai beach erosion. Approximately 1m sand height is missing, which makes the beach practically inexistent. In consequence sun beds at the two pools are overcommitted and there’s a daily race to pre-occupy most of them. At the main pool, with the lack of distance between sun beds, you get quite in touch (physically spoken) with other guests, wanted or not. Looking at the original facilities (some in beetween taken out of service) the targeted category may have been upper class with a good touch of wellness (there even were saunas at the beginning). Probably due to the vicious circle of disappearing beach and the consequent “people concentration” the Ressort seems to have changed the targeted customer base towards more economy and partying oriented categories. Chaweng Road in front is a quite populated Party strip. Some of the customers even show manners you’d never think possible. The leftovers on some tables at the breakfast buffet tell sad stories. Maybe this is a reason why we had to make a high deposit (first time ever) for possible consumption on a totally prepaid trip. The facilities and rooms needing a high level of upkeep (and cleaning which sometimes is a little bit neglected) are probably difficult to maintain with the number of staff present. Also, the staff does not actually enforce the hotel’s house rules which sometimes leads to very noisy or agitated situations. The staff itself is very kind and as helpful as possible, but mostly overcommitted too. I’ve put some pictures from the actual beachfront situation (mid tide) to document the beach erosion situation. Check them against the official ones from the homepage.…
I read with disbelief on some of the reviews The place is awful it’s old looks nothing like the pictures some of these reviewers must of never stayed at a 5 star luxury hotel before Let’s start with the check in arrived at 1320 check in is at 1400 was made to wait til 1400 exactly , shown to room the guy showing us knew nothing about the resort asked him for opening times of gym he didn’t know arrived to the room asked do we have a fridge he said no then we found a fridge asked for some water he said you call 0 and ask I said well can you just order it when you go back to reception he just looked at me blank Room was terrible bed was rock hard and the room was old I asked to move to another hotel as I didn’t like it the first impressions gave me red flags but management refused to refund me but instead offered to move us to a different room , I had little option other than to look the room was better but old very old Given one towel each for the two of us which is to last to the following morning so you have dry it again before use The pool area is a joke cannot get a sun bed after 9 am the pool staff what little there is never take towels off if the beds do you don’t know if they are used or not The pool staff don’t clear anything away like bottles plates cups so Is cups sitting around all day half eaten food it’s awful WiFi is poor constantly drops out have to keep logging in with room info Mosquito galore always in the room you will get bitten at this place Lots of people smoking in and around the pool The gym is an embarrassment of a gym it’s one running machine a bench and a mirror How can you call it a 5 star hotel it’s dreadful Thank goodness my stay was only 3 nights…
We had a deluxe room for 5 nights, the room was compact but everything we needed and includes beach bag, dressing gown and flip flops. Room did smell a little musty at times but it was clean and all amenities with glass bottled water replenished daily. The main pool area by the bar was busy but we could always get sun beds and we also tried the swim up pool which seemed a little quieter. The only problem was the smell of drains sometimes and note the airport is very near so the odd plane spotting was great fun. The breakfast had a great selection and lots of choice. You are in the main high street in Chaweng which is just a crazy place but within walking distance to bars and restaurants and we despite our age planned a trip to the full moon party. The collection was late for this tour and Jeen the concierge was just so helpful with calling the company for us and sorting out a taxi who was paid for by the company and he spoke to them all in Thai whilst wishing us a lovely time, he was just so helpful going above and beyond with helping us and the other people who were going. However despite a very quiet evening at the full moon party I had become ill and got the first boat back and ended up in the Bangkok Samui hospital the next day due to severe sickness and diarrhoea. The hospital were amazing and did admit me overnight to clear the parasitic gastroenteritis, but Jeen saw my husband when he came back to collect some things for me and he was just so lovely asking about me and so genuinely concerned, he is an asset to this hotel and a true gent, thank you. I would recommend this hotel to you is you want a lively area.…
We first went to the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort 22 years ago for Valentine's Day. We decided to do the same for Valentine's Day 2023. It was wonderful to return. We have stayed at many hotels and resorts in Ko Samui but this is hands-down the best place we have ever stayed at. A perfect beachfront villa great central location in Chaweng which gives easy access to shops, bars, cafes, money changers and taxi services. We stayed a vill 304 22 years ago, and we booked the same one this time. It's right on the beach, with a private deck, beautiful views and superbly appointed inside. The TV is oddly positioned, but that was the only quirk. The villa has a large king bedroom and huge bathroom, an inside jacuzzi and a separate living room. Words don't do this place any justice; look at the photos. The best part is to sit on the deck, look out to the sea and just marvel at h the idyllic beauty that is Samui. Yes, the beachfront villas, 303 and 304, are top of the price range, however, the other rooms have direct pool access steps from the front door and most likely have lower daily rates. It's a well-designed resort. There are two pools in separate areas, and of course, the one with the swim-up pool bar is very popular. We loved it so much that we pledged to save up and return for Valentine's Day 2024.…
Friendly staff, clean and fresh looking rooms. Lovely and well maintained gardens Great environment. We were B&B and the breakfast was good and verified daily. The resort outside the hotel is busy with great restaurants and shopping. Would certainly recommend this place to family and friends.
