We stayed in Al's hotel for 5 nights. The room was nice and clean. The pool was great and is right on the beach which is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The restaurant on Chaweng beach are very good and pretty unexpensive. We really recommend the trip to Koh Tao by speed boat. One of the...

checked in to the standard rooms which aren't bad but upgraded to double connecting rooms with our kids which were really nice. Nice pools, small but good. Hotel right on beach which is beautiful compared with Patong which is filthy with rubbish and you would be mad to swim in after any rain. Breakfast was fairly average, did the job...

Admittedly when we first booked in we had selected the cheapest rooms in the hotel and while they would be fine we were after something a little more comfortable. Apart from being able to check in early the staff at the front desk were excellent in getting a room upgrade sorted out right away. The new room was in great...

I had stayed here last year and it was great! unfortunately it wasnt like that when i returned with friends this year. When we entered our room it had a horrible smell to it, the room itself was not clean even though a cleaner had just come out of the room! The shower had mould everywhere and Our toilet was...

Having spent a few hectic days in Cambodia in a great hotel - cheap prices etc. we were looking forward to relaxing o the island of koh samui. The entrance to the resort was off a very busy street down a side road and pas t a supermarket - not very welcoming! The staff barely s[poke English, the rooms were...

Decent place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service at the front desk is really unfriendly. No free wifi. Pool is nice but not enough sun chairs. Good location on busy beach with many jet ski. Get this place only if you get good deal on the price. Otherwise its overpriced. Room have no privacy. In front of your...

We arrived in this hotel, after a wonderful stay at Lamai Wanta. When we arrived, the taxi, had no change. We asked at the reception, who brutally answered "Go to supermarket". Nice welcome. We had two rooms, garden view. No chairs outside, smelly, dusty room, inspired from the 80's or just still the same. Buffet, choice, but lower quality. Wifi,...

We have recently returned from Koh Samui after spending 17 nights @ Al's Resort with my husband, friends and family. We booked into the Courtyard Deluxe rooms and were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. They had electric showers which meant that you could always have a hot shower - something we have had trouble with at...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights or so. When we arrived we were really happy with our decision as the rooms and pool/beach area was nice. Like a few other reviews we did notice the sewerage smell but it wasn’t that much of an issue. The pool was nice and the beach is just outside, the beach...

We stayed at Al's Resort over New Years and off the bat they had a couple of big strikes against them: 1 - they were TERRIBLE on e-mail. Took about 2 weeks to finalize my booking and I often had to send follow up e-mails asking them to please respond. 2 - they charged us something like $80 USD/person for...
