When booking a hotel for your holiday, you hope that it will meet your expectations. And these are based on their website and the reviews.
For us, this hotel surpassed everything that had been written about it.
The reception area is bright and clean. It has a welcoming atmosphere, an image supported by the excellent staff who man the desk. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are quick to assist with every enquiry. All the staff have big, beaming smiles, and a cheery greeting whenever they see you.
Bedrooms are spacious, with the usual range of fittings. The mattresses and pillows are firm, with beds made daily by the cleaners. Bathroom and beach towels are changed as often as you need. All rooms have a balcony or veranda, with views ranging from brilliant to OK The cleaners are a friendly bunch, happy to greet everyone who walks past.
The restaurant team are brilliant, greet you with a smile and offer an excellent service. Breakfast offers a wide range of hot and cold food, with a chef to cook any egg based product you can think off. Both lunch and dinner offer a good choice from the menu, and a reasonable price. Plus FILTER COFFEE as the norm. The tables offer a great view of either the sea, or outdoor pool via the open aspect design and layout. Special occasion meals are available, and staff go to great efforts to deliver a wow factor.
Double width sunbeds line both lengths of the pool. Further tables are adjacent to the children's pool. Steps down from the restaurant or pool lead to a long veranda offering further sunbeds, outdoor tables and chairs, or beanbags.
Four steps lead down to the small beach, with a gradual sloping entrance to the warm sea. It's perfect for young children to gain water confidence and learn to swim. It is a bit shallow for adults to do any serious swimming, but makes it easy to use the free paddle boards, located alongside the steps.
For those who are interested, there is a well equipped and maintained gym. And if you need a massage, there are three Thai ladies on site from 10:30, with a range of massage and beauty treatments at very competitive prices.
There are two minor drawbacks which stop this hotel being perfect.
1. It is located on a small backroad, complete with potholes, which can be visually off-putting when you first catch sight of it.
2. The WiFi can be intermittent. Log on in your room and you may find you have to do it again on reaching the restaurant. And yet again when you are on the sunbeds.

Well what can we say ... we booked this place just ahead of the lockdown after a bad experience with Santhiya on Phangan.This place was a breath of fresh air.
Most importantly in these times it was spotlessly clean, hand sanitizer everywhere and staff wearing masks etc
Rooms were perfect we stayed in 2 types and the beachfront was perfect for us with lots of storage space.
Location 5 steps from beach was great too although good swimming depends on the tides. Kayaks and flatboards were free and well maintained. Nice pool and pool area and pool was cleaned once or twice daily. Unfortunately gym was closed but staff were happy to loan weights and stuff if you wanted to work out.
Breakfast was unbelievable there was so much choice!!! Quality was first class and dinner excelled every night.
Finally but importantly the staff were ALL superb .. so friendly and helpful. I hoped to mention them individually but scared to miss anyone out.
Thank you so much for turning what could have been a horrible time to unforgettable happy times.
We will definitely see you all again

We have had an amazing stay at Casa De Mar. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach in an amazing location, it is exceptionally clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. Rooms are replenished daily with toiletries and fresh towels, and bottled water twice a day. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with large bathrooms, and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of both hot and cold options. There is a happy hour twice a day, and free cocktail and canapés event each week. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and Kell the Customer Relations Manager is always available to see if you need help booking trips or a taxi, she also organises daily activities which are fun such as manicures, cocktail making and fruit carving. All the staff are friendly and make your stay that bit extra special. Casa De Mar is in a quite road away from the main Chaweng beach which for us was much more relaxing, with lovely beach bars and restaurants a stroll along the beach, and if you want the bustle of bright lights Chaweng Town is a 10 minute walk or quick taxi ride away. The hotel also has a free shuttle into the main town. Local supermarket, pharmacy and shops are a couple of minutes walk from the hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights with our 6 year old and were really impressed by how friendly and professional the staff were. Service is consistently good and we especially appreciated the welcoming smiles from everyone in the restaurant everyone morning at breakfast as well as the reminders in the afternoon when happy hour had started. Rooms are really comfortable with a kind of danish minimalist style (and super clean). Easy 5 minute ride into main area of Chaweng and peaceful water location to take advantage of the free kayaks.

We loved our time at Casa De Mar. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the start. The deluxe villa was in immaculate condition with a large comfortable bed and amazing shower and bath. The housekeeping made the room spotless every day, and the kitchen staff provided us with ice, plates, and silverware whenever we wanted to dine in the room. Beyond that, the hotel restaurant and bar was delicious.
The hotel is ON the beach with crystal clear water and great snorkeling. Also, we were given 1 hour free kayaking each day. The pool overlooks the ocean and couldn't have been prettier. If we are ever back in Samui, we will stay here! Thanks again to the staff for making this trip perfect.

I had stayed at Matlang Resort, the predecessor to this resort, many times since 1986 when it was just thatched roof bungalows at the end of North Chaweng Beach. Returned to retrace my steps and treated myself to a Beachfront Room without pool and absolutely loved it. The view is entracing, the room nicely laid out, with a screen that can be lowered to cut the glare if working from the desk behind the bed (and presumably to reduce rain coming in during storms) so you can still look up and appreciate the view. The well ventilated bathrooms in the back of the small villa are very clean and housekeeping very alert (I noted a couple of spots on the counter one morning and they were gone when I returned). There is a drying rack tucked behind a folding door on one end of the bathroom easily missed but very effective and eye-friendly. The amenities were good quality (body soap, shampoo, conditioner). The bathtub was very comfortable (I indulged more than once) and to my surprise the bathroom did not get too hot during the day. Beach towels are provided as well as umbrellas along with a rattan beach bag. The wifi was good enough for my purposes. The food was good, the pool beautiful (I highly recommend a sunset swim session for the view), the staff great with encouraging guests to try kayaking or stand up paddle boarding (unexpected freebie: one hour on each per day). Given the resort is 5 years old, it was very well maintained. I would stay here again in a beachfront room in a heartbeat.

This beautiful resort is located just a few minutes drive from Chaweng, which is really convenient. The restaurant is right on the beach and has a picture perfect view of the Gulf of Thailand. The internet is super fast and this was my 'office' during my stay. Chef Keng cooks some great Southern Thai food and international options. He's always more than happy to cook things as you like them. The serving staff, Kea and Aor, were very kind and welcoming during my stay. Always nice to see them in the morning. The bungalow where I stayed was perfect. Each has a brand new Samsung TV, great WiFi and is 2 minutes from the beach so you can swim in the sea and then walk back to the room and shower. The resort is quiet and peaceful and a great place to relax. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay!

Really relaxing vibe here with friendly , efficient staff . Housekeeping was A+ and were generous in providing bottled drinking water everyday . Common spaces were beautiful and relaxing . Breakfast buffet was wonderful offering the best omelette station at any of the 7 hotels we stayed at while in Thailand and free lattes . Now the but .... Loud and no privacy in the "garden view" villas . We had an end unit so it wasn't as intrusive feel as looking across into someone else's room . Loud because nobody can have a quiet conversation amongst themselves anymore and these buildings are not well insulated from noise . There is an access in the bathroom for the a/c unit and you can hear everything going on outside as though they are in the room with you . Mosquitos were also an issue in our room , even after they sprayed . Overall not bad but the noise , mosquitos and lack of privacy did take away from our experience .

I stayed at Casa De Mar with a friend for 3 nights. We had a fantastic stay here, the resort is excellent with a great chilled out relaxed atmosphere right on the beach/seafront. We stayed in a room within the block where reception is located, you have to cross a small very quiet track/road to go to the main part of the resort with the sunbeds, pool, restaurant etc. which was no issue took 2 mins to walk from our room to the pool. The room was excellent really clean, spacious. The bathroom is quite small and on the darker side but the shower was large enough and good enough. The pool area is great with a stunning view over the beach and island. The restaurant is very good and very fairly priced for a hotel setting. As we stayed during the COVID-19 pandemic the resort and island was very quiet so the hotel were offering 40% off happy hour all day on drinks which was a great gesture. One of the waiters 'Rung' looked after us very well all the staff are very friendly and attentive.

This hotel is good location, walk a few minutes to get on the beach. I received a warm welcome since the 1st step of check in. you will get a very good service which should be above your expectation. I am Thai solo traveler from Bangkok during Covid-19 pandemic so there implement hygienic regulation for all area. all staffs wear mask all the time and alcohol gel available for all area. even you are alone but you don't feel alone in this hotel. as of now there has a very special price for all type of the room included food and drink. Breakfast menu set is huge so I can't eat it all. I can keep it for my lunch time. Hotel has fully amenities in the room. TV is big , bed is comfortable, you will feel appreciate and happy to stay here during your holiday or you can work from this hotel. WIFI is working well.

we no have picked you up from the pier, costs price 800 THB per way by Taxi at the pier, if you coming with seatran ferry you can contact our seatran ferry and book the boat in the minimart seat ran ferry
