Very friendly hotel & staff. Initially we booked ten rooms, due to sickness two rooms cancelled. No problem whatsoever. Restaurant was excellent & flexible with regards to any special wishes. All staff were outstanding, friendly, quick & professional.
Sticky Rooms, bed are not comfy at all, extremely inappropriate bathrooms, cracks on the ceramics and cracks on the toilet vase, mouldy bath room (An absolutely refurbishment needed in all rooms and bathrooms). However they got an outstanding terrace and swimming pool. The food at the restaurant is good and needs a lot of creativity, the breakfast buffet hasn't got anything wow factor. but they got a good supplier of bread. The wine list are very expensive. The new owner are young and will need a lot to do , slowly and surely. A bit of lack of communication. However there's a waiter named ''Christopher'' an outstanding gentleman he is a such great asset for the Auberge.
Lovely secluded place to stay at with a very good restaurant and a large choice of menus from 28 to 50 euros . The scampis were very good and the vegetables perfect. Not to mention the crème brulée and the tiramisu and the île flottante. Remember it is quite a wild drive there but it is well worth it. Enjoy! The Hôtel and restaurant is well run by the same lady since 50 odd years which makes it a safe place to go to. Our kind and effective waiter was Indian last night so it English spoken too!
We have celebrated my mother in law’s 60th birthday here today and were a family of six with a small baby. Our waiter Raj could not have been more accommodating and attentive. The restaurant/ hotel is set on a top of a hill ( about 20 min drive from Nice) which was a beautiful location with stunning views. Being with a small baby we liked that the terrace was well covered and cool but still we could enjoy the sun. Now the food, there are 4 different set menu types varying from 28 to 52euro ( which awesome for this part of the world) The selections are varied and all delicious, good value for money considering the quality. I had the most amazing garlic frog legs I ever had and plan to come back to France purely to have them again. Thank you Raj and the team at the Auberge for helping us create this lovely memory as a family. (p.s. for a perfect day in Colomars ( especially if staying around Nice) book lunch outside here from 12:30 and then a wine tasting at 15:30 at Domaine de toasc) …
This restaurant is located up a hill, some 30 mns away the bustle of the French Riviera coast line and well worth the short drive. Free parking on site, with a lot of space. The decoration of the dinner room is classic and elegant, with loads of white and green bouquets. During spring and summer it is very nice to have lunch (or dinner) outside. The food is never disappointing (you can get another serving of raviolis if you wish) and service is attentive and perfect. Particularly fitting for family and friends gatherings. I have no experience regarding the hotel, but provided the quality of service at the restaurant and the care the owners bring to everything, i would not hesitate to give it a try if friends come visit. It would be needed to have a car though to stay at this hotel.…
Enjoyed some fabulous French cuisine served by a friendly Indian waiter speaking perfect English. We sat out on the terrace on a lovely warm evening. The menu had an excellent selection. The food tasted delicious and the portion size was more than generous. The price was good value for money all things considered. I will try to return again soon.
On an overcast day on our stay on the cote d azure we decided on an off the main drag drive. After many hairpin bends and very scary driving we came apon a sign for this hotel in need of refreshment we pulled in . The hotel grounds are very pretty with amazing views . We were greeted by very friendly restaurant staff and shown to a quiet table the menu was impressive and reasonably priced we ordered and were rewarded with food prepared to order and ample servings of excellent quality food , first class and friendly service. We will go again. Tip ! When paying by card the waiting staff do not receive tips added to a payments made by card !!!
Visit number 17 I think now. A weeks stay of which it is all perfect. The rooms now have air conditioning which I will admit is lovely :-) No English people apart from my family and there is no English spoken..... However there is an Indian waiter Raj who us amazing and is fluent in English. Nothing at all is a problem .....plain croissants were in short supply one morning and the owner disappeared off somewhere to get us some! Owned by two sisters whom you see a lot of,incredibly hard working along with one of their husbands called Bruno.Wonderful welcoming people, fabulous French cuisine and an oasis of perfect calm........keep the secret !
My family and I have vacationed here almost every year since the mid 90s. Le Redier is a charming and traditional hotel run by the same family for generations. The rooms are clean and well kept but have not been renovated for a while - which I think adds to the charm. The swimming pool and gardens offer peace, quiet and a stunning mountain view. Le Redier is a good 20 minutes drive from Nice and we often choose half board, which is great value for money, as the kitchen offers good french dishes like duck breast, sole meuniere, coqulete, rack of lamb etc. If you stay for lunch, try the cuisses de grenouille or the ravioli. The staff at Le Redier, especially the owners and the waiters are friendly, hard working and take pride in their auberge. I've always had a great time at Le Redier and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, charming, secluded retreat a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of the Cote d'Azur.…
My second stay was just as good as the first, just one night shorter unfortunately. Lovely, very clean room, very comfortable bed, quiet, relaxing, efficient staff, good breakfasts and some great cooking! And beautiful scenery. Very good links to Nice-the bus stops literally at the hotel gates. The place is damn near perfect. Please don't go there!
