We had a lovely one nite stay at Oak Lane Lodge, with a great breakfast, with very friendly hosts. My only thing was I like a queen size bed, and a double bed for me is too small for two people when you are use to queen. But apart from the bed the house was beautiful along with gardens and...

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and have taken the time to let others know. It does make such a difference for other potential guests to make the right decisions. It was a puzzle to hear that the bed felt small. Because it is a custom made bed and mattress, we went and measured the mattress and...

Perfection from the home to the gardens and topped off by the gracious hosts Alan and Cath. We were given an upgrade to the king room and could not find fault with our stay We would highly recommend this property as a base to travel from or just to stay put and take in the ambience

Beautiful surroundings and real feel for the Waikato country life. Very comfortable accommodation with fantastic breakfast selections. Easy driving to many different attractions the area has to offer. All seven of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at Oak Lane again.

The lodge is an impeccably maintained old farmhouse from the early 20th century, on manicured grounds with orchards and gardens, surrounding by paddocks. Alan and Cath are perfect hosts, helpful, well-informed and extremely kind. The farm breakfast was spectacular (the best we had in New Zealand), and the wifi worked without a hiccup. The room had a huge and hugely...

It is with pleasure that we are able to share this wonderfully secluded piece of New Zealand rural paradise with nice people like yourselves. A short stay, yes, makes us especially glad we were able to help make your visit to New Zealand memorable in some small way. All the best, A&C.

We stayed at Oak Lane Lodge for 6 wonderful nights in March 14 whilst in NZ to compete in clay target World championships (apologies for not reviewing sooner!) We could not have been looked after better than with Cath and Alan, they were amazing hosts from the start, we dined with the two of them on 3 evenings and ate...

Don't often given a 5/5 but if you after a unique 'kiwi' experience this is it. Extremely inviting hosts Cath and Alan would do anything to help out, the best home cooked 'from the garden style' breakfasts and dinners. All the other norms such as comfy beds, big shower, Sky TV, free Wifi, coffee machine and massive garden to explore...

An avenue of massive oak trees leading to a quiet, beautiful bungalow was only the beginning of our best night's stay in all of New Zealand. While photographing the "Balloons over Waikato" event we had battled to secure accommodation in Hamilton. How fortuitous it was, therefore, to find Oak Lane Lodge!! Our welcome was as warm as the delightfully appointed room, while the tranquility of the Lodge and its environs proved to be a most agreeable contrast to the festival. From the luxuriously crisp and comfy...
