Everything about this location was perfect, with one exception. We booked 2 nights here before starting the Camino -- our arrival night and and a rest day to get over the 20 hours of travel and jet lag before starting our walk. However, when we arrived, Tim welcomed us but told us they were overbooked for the second night and... More

We stayed here for two nights before we started on the Camino. We had a large room with also a great bathroom. Up on top of the hill and a excellent location. I cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic help Tim was in helping with posting our luggage to Camino de Santiago. As Tim is English but speaks fluent... More

It's a little off the main area but that is a plus. The owners were very friendly, breakfast was ample, and the room was very nice. One of the rooms has a jacquizzi and longer beds, the other room that I saw was nice but had a bit shorter beds. About 100 meters from the start of the Camino and... More

When we saw how tall John was, we switched rooms, as 'Sunset', which he was booked into, has standard French singles, which are 1.9m long. The other rooms all have 2m beds. All bed sizes are listed on our website. The 'Camino del Santiago' is the Spanish name for the way which leads to Santiago. Strictly, in France, the way... More

Overall we had a good stay. We stayed one night as part of a 7 day motorcycle tour. The rooms were clean and comfy. It was a very pleasant stay. Tim was very helpful with our route planning. Overall we thought it was good value for money. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B.

Loved staying in this house. The owners are great and very friendly. The location is perfect - in the entrance of the city. The room was very spacious and very clean. The room has a fantastic view and a cute balcony.

As I'm sure many guests do, we stayed one night, the night before we began our Camino walk. The reservation process via email was easy and Tim was helpful in answering questions about transportation from Bayonne. The house is old and reasonably maintained but could definitely use some sprucing up. Breakfast was included but a bit lacking, bread was not... More

You know, I did write a proper, professional response to this review. And then took it down, because I really can't be bothered maintaining a professional front when faced with this pickiness. I doubt Patti had fresh squeezed orange juice anywhere along the Camino (please, do let us know in all your other reviews!), and if the bread was toasted,... More

This small chambre d'hôte (just three guest rooms) is a delightful place from which to start the Camino. The rooms, all on the first floor with windows with good views from some way up the hill, are spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Mine had a separate bathroom, so a perfect combination of privacy and, with charming and welcoming hosts, the sense... More

Errecaldia was a fantastic place to stay before walking my Camino!! The facility was clean and neat; the hosts were extremely hospitable and took great care of me. The start to our Camino could not have been better. Booking from Australia was easy, personal welcome from Tim and Louisa lovely and the accommodation was very comfortable. Our room was huge and the breakfast was all local produce. Thanks again Tim and Louisa, we would love to stay at your place again.

What a perfect beginning to our walk. Tim and his charming partner treated us to a wonderful stay with a beautiful room overlooking St Jean. The house was restored in true Basque tradition and our room had a huge bedroom and lovely tiled bathroom. We will definitely stay here again when next in St Jean.
