The title says it all. Portomarin was really busy in Oct 2016. We got the last room in Ultreia. POSITIVE: > Location: 50 metres from the cathedral. Right at the center of this small town. Restaurants are close by. > The hosts are fantastic and goes out of the way to help you. > Very clean and private rooms are...

The best thing about this place was the people who run it who are so friendly. My single room was ok, and I shared the large balcony with two girls next door. My biggest gripe though is with the shared bathroom - the cubicles for both the showers and toilets are ridiculously small. I paid €30 but know that there...

We had great service from the husband and wife who owned the Albergue- they went above and beyond! The place was very clean - the bathrooms were very small & men and women shared one bathroom even with the private rooms. Our beds had a little sway in the middle - but not bad. We paid 20€ each for a...

We booked two private rooms for our stop in Portomarin during the Camino, with shared bathrooms. The lady who checked us in did not speak English but she was very nice and did her best to get us settled in. We had washing to do and managed to have everything dried on the line before nightfall. The location was a...

Great little Albergue with choice of dorms or private rooms. We had a room for 3 which were €10 more than the combined dorm price. 2 showers and toilets shared between the five private rooms. Spotlessly clean, well maintained, towels, sheets etc supplied. Plentiful hot water. Small kitchen/common room and right in town a few minutes off the Camino path.

The place is very clean, the lady running it cleans the bathroom constantly, there's space between bunk beds and the sheets are very clean too. The kitchen area has everything you need and they even have a small foot massage machine. Few deck chairs in the front yard to chill after a long day. The best part of all is...

Clean hostel. Easy to find. Friendly staff, but not interactive. There is a common area with kitchen for folks to gather. No distinctive characteristics. Small bathroom to share with many. I would find another place to sleep next time through.

I traveled to a lot of Albergues through Spain and this looked brand new. Very clean. Great kitchen. Nice beds. Clean bathrooms and showers. Manuel, who works there was extreamely helpful with helping me set up my next albergue, private room. Full of information and professional. The woman who signed me in has a great smile. I felt very welcome...

We stopped in this hostel in Portomarín on the Camino. Lovely little spot. The staff is lovely and friendly. The hostel is clean and not too big. They have a lovely little back garden with drying racks (to hang wet clothing) and a big kitchen/common area. The only issue was the noise is the common room, but that's not fault...

“For €30, you can have a private room for two people (€10 extra from the common room price combined between the two people). I would recommend doing it, but make sure to reserve the private rooms as they book out.”
