I honestly have no idea what the negative reviewers were talking about. I think there has been a change of management since. My experience of Gading Beach was nothing but pleasant. It is essentially a budget resort, away from the busy city and with a large tree-filled courtyard with tables and chairs for relaxing. The rooms are spacious, well decorated,...

Friendly owner, but she is not always at the reception. The lobby is very empty. They do have chalet and rooms, with traditional style. Breakfast served, there is restaurant nearby. They also offer free shuttle to airport. Room is clean but no air condition, only fan.

This is not really the place you want to sleep: huge cocruches, no top bedsheets, no water at all on the shower, soft matresses on the bed wich are really unconfortable and no wifi...200k + taxes the room with fan. Incredible how the people in here is trying to get money from you as much as they can. Everytime you...

This hotel is no doubt very basic but it is clean and for Flores standards very well maintained. Stayed nights on a business trip. Going to the city is a bit a hussle. So you better rent a bike. Food is delicious and very relaxing to enjoy the sun set.

I agree with Rob, I don't see what the other people are complaining about! The stay is pretty cheap and so is the restaurant. It takes a while to get your food but so does it everywhere in Indonesia and I had way worse. They offer a free ride to Maumere, but I would say you don't want to set...

Shockingly bad experience. Worst ever room/hotel I stayed at (and I've been around). Remember this place in vivid color. Where to begin? Arrival in afternoon, head straight to the pool to find dirty water - didn't get in as I thought I might get sick. Facilities in general look ramshackle. Maumere was hit by a tsunami in 1992 and the...

This hotel is way overpriced. There is no WIFI. The rooms are of good standard, but the bathrooms are not. In the first deluxe room we checked in to the toilet was very dirty and the flush did not work. In the second room the bathroom was the standard of most cheap hotels in Indonesia. Shortly after settling into the...

One of the worst experiences we have had in a hotel. The staff is extremly unmotivated. If you come into the restaurant, everyone leaves. Sometimes it takes forever for them to come and take your order. It really seems as if they don't want to do the work. Orders take quite long, you gotta get used to be waiting an...

In 20 years of backpacking, I have never stayed at a worse hotel. This place has a massive problem with swarms of flies which get everywhere especially on your food when you are trying to eat. Nothing works in the hotel rooms. I include the toilets and showers in this. The room was very dirty. The staff were not friendly...

It'a a local style hotel with AC rooms and sea front bungalows. The beach is very nice with a coral reef hudred meters from the strand an nice mangroves. It's 9 Km from Maumere town so you should hire a motorbike (7 USD a day) but it's necessary if you want to explore the outskirts of maumere. The manager is...
