Great place in the middle of beautifull nature. Close to the water falls with relaxing crocodiles. Friendly and absolutely nice staff serving tasteful meals and making your time as pleasant as possible. Only to thank and hope once be there again.

The friendly staff were helpful, attentive and responsive to our needs. The central buildings of the lodge complex are spacious, nicely furnished and very pleasant for dining and relaxing. The accommodation tukul with bathroom was quite comfortable and serviceable. Many birds and baboons were spotted on our early morning walk along the river; pack binoculars. Also bring a torch and...

The place is amusing with the falls, the cocodriles, the cliff... but the hotel is not good. It's dirty, old, basic... and very, very expensive. The staff is not very friendly, they want a lot of money for all. So much expensive for the services that it give.

I have visited Awash for five times. The park is home of many species of birds, mammals and other plants. The lodge is part of the park. When we were there, we felt as we camp at the park. The river is near by the lodge and adds its natural beauty for the lodge. Staffs are friendly and sociable. All the...

That is the truth about Awash Falls Lodge. The Lodge has been operating hard for great service and consideration. The area looks a 'little paradise' as that bad draught already passed and things have become normal. Warm regards, Awash Falls Lodge

We felt very disappointed with our stay in Awash purely as there were hardly any animals too see especially after spending 4hrs driving with children to see them. Other than a few monkeys, one turtle, couple of wild dogs and a few Oryx. The lodge was very basic - poor. Bathrooms very poor. Restaurant good and staff very friendly and...

Thank you for the comment. It has become very clear that and like many of the country's national parks, Awash N/Park has become deteriorate. Still there are many wildlife species with Oryx, Gazelles, Warthogs, Hares, Lesser kudus, Hamadryas baboons, and others, which are commonly seen. However, there is no any wild dog in this area but in western Ethiopia. Please...

The lodge has a great setting juxtaposed with the waterfall and Awash national park. I have stated here several times and have never failed to be disappointed! Electricity is intermittent, the service is abysmal and the food very disappointing. My fish was cooked to the point of it being more akin to a piece of indurated cardboard!!! They clearly do...

We appreciate to provide us your concerns of problems regarding food, electric power and services. Thank you again for this. This Lodge is among the most preferred ecolodge. Its services and food have been again super than other Lodges. We are a bit confused how such gaps happened while we are working hard for the best of its complementary services....

About 15km away from the main Addis-Djibouti highway, nice bungalows to stay in. Restaurant serves nice tibs but especially after sunset terrible mosquito problem. No a/c in the bungalows as you can see the stars :) through the side walls :)

Thank you for your genuine review of our Lodge, the Awash Falls. Mosquitoes in this area are seasonal, commonly September to October. There is no any recorded incidents of malaria on our guests. Most rooms are fitted with funs to cool rooms. They can be used during hot months (May). The best time to visit the Falls is June to...

Went with a group of scouts and selected it because of the camping opportunities. Saw the bungalows but didn't go inside but they looked very basic. The lodge has an outdoor restaurant and bar and they do campfires at night for groups. The service is quite good and friendly. It isn't necessary to have a 4X4 to get to this...

Thank you for the good insight of Awash Falls Lodge and its surroundings. Wildlife, culture of Kereyu-Oromo and Afar and the geological attributes can stand the area to be visited by tourists. Please also try the tukuls, they are comfortable. The Lodge staff is always ready to welcome you. Sincerely, Awash FL

Rustic lodge in the middle of incredible wildlife with friendly helpful staff and great food. The traditional hut that we stayed in sleeps 6 comfortably and is basic, rustic and clean. There is no A/C and the temperature was in the low 40 degrees celsius and very dry. DO NO LEAVE YOUR DOOR OPEN as there are wild baboons and...

This lodge has a very interesting position, as its name suggests, overlooking the Awash River as it drops down a waterfall into a gorge, with lots of crocodiles at the bottom. The lodge rooms are best described as wooden rustic and a little ramshackle. Most of the facilities work with one important exception – in my room, the double bed...
