Hotel is in an excellent location on top of the ski slope in Levi with fantastic views of then town

The drive from the airport is around 10-15 minutes

We arrived early for check in but our rooms were ready. They are basic but as you are always out and about it didn’t really matter.

There is a kettle provided in the room with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and in the bathroom there is shampoo conditioner and body wash.

The hotel has a sauna but isn’t opened all day so I never had a chance to use it

There is also a cinema which cost 10 euro per person

The gondola is free for hotel guests which start at 9.30am. Unfortunately one morning we had to be in town for 9am and it cost 20 euro for 2 minute ride in a taxi. Totally extreme prices!!!

The first night we ate in the buffet restaurant which cost around 30 euro per person and the food was terrible and felt ripped off.

The second night we tried the bar food which was far better but not much choice.

After that we went into town and ate in Stefan’s Steakhouse which is pricey but the food is outstanding!

I would definitely recommend this hotel for the perks but not for the food on offer

We stayed in the Panorama chalets the week that Covid 19 struck Finland. We loved the place. The apartment was spacious, warm, extremely well equipped and we even had a private sauna. The hotel itself was very luxurious and breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality. The hotel did everything it could to keep us safe - there were numerous hand sanitizers and we observed much deep cleaning.
Location wise this hotel is located on the Levi front slope so ski in ski out is possible. The views are spectacular. We will certainly return.
Our only small complaint was that the hotel made no provision for getting guests down into the village when the express lift closed on Monday March 23rd, due to the closure of the ski resort. We were leaving that day, to go to the airport, we had luggage but no car. The receptionist told us our only recourse was to order a taxi and I feel that the hotel should have taken more responsibility towards its guests in that situation.

Dear jwalton1954, thank you for your review. I ´m so glad to hear that you enjoyed staying with us. The Express Cabin Lift is operated by an external service provider Oy Levi Ski Resort Ltd, so unfortunately hotel is not to be held accountable for errors in the provision of services supplied by external service providers. Nevertheless, I totally understand your point of view and harm in that situation. Hopefully we will see you as our guest again! Best regards, Pia Virtala Area Manager

We booked this hotel through tui over christmad, there was good and bad. The hotel itself looks beautiful and in an amazing setting on the Olympic ski slopes overlooking the town, we got free gondola rides that are every couple of minutes. The cafe that is hidden is a must to go find, really friendly and beautiful views. The breakfast had a range of foods and all tasty, however having lunch at the restaurant we had really dry expensive sandwiches, we didnt eat there for lunch again.
On arrival to the hotel at 2pm we had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready, although we could put our luggage in a locked room and explore we had been awake for over 24hours and this wasnt ideal, when asking at reception we kept being told it still wasnt ready then there was a change over in staff, when we asked this receptionist she called the cleaners who confirmed our room was ready. Our room had a beautiful view of the slopes, and we were lucky enough to have a warmer to dry our clothes off. We only had 1 tea and 1 sugar in the room and no milk so we requested more from the cleaners who were still on our floor but they just gave us a hot chocolate, we were never given any milk for hot drinks in our 5 day stay, so we bought some from the supermarket which we kept in the mini fridge in our room.
The night of leaving my boyfriend had left our camera in the thermal suits we had been given from another company that is collected from the hotel, when we realised his mistake the receptionist said they would look into this for him, but didnt take any details, in the morning another receptionist was there and we asked if they had manage to find any information out about our lost camera but she just responded that the other company was closed. Finally on checkout we asked another person who may have been a manager who was really helpful and gave us phone numbers to call and took our details.
All in all an amazing holiday and these things are just small issues we had and would not stop us going back, but stops me giving them 5 stars.

I would definitely say that I am a very fussy guest, I pay attention to detail and like perfection. I can honestly say that I would struggle to find any faults with this wonderful hotel.
Our room was on the 5th floor and had perfect views of the slopes from our room. We even saw thd Northern lights from our window one night.
Breakfast on the first day was a little crazy, but it is a busy time of year and therefore it is to be expected. We ate in the restaurant on a few occasions, the food was great and the staff were lovely and took time to tell us about the northern lights.
The rooms were as you would expect and both my partner and myself found the beds really comfy. There is a drying closest in the room which was really useful for putting all the ski clothes. The ski in/out was ideal, ski passes can be bought at the reception. You will also find rein deers across at Samiland and reindeer food can be purchased for 4 euros.
The location was perfect, a short gondola ride down to the town or a short taxi ride for 20 euros
The gondola runs until 9pm. The views from the slope were spectacular on New year's eve.
A short walk through the woods you will find a secret santa hut, there is no santa but it's a lovely log cabin where you can buy drinks, toast marshmallows, grill sausages or taste a pancake.
There are several log cabins with fires dotted around the slopes where you can toast your own marshmallows and grill sausages for free.
There is a well stocked shop in the town, a very short walk away.
We used the laudery on level 3 which is free to guests and even has free wash powder. There are 2 washing machines 2 dryer and 2 drying closest. How fabulous!!
We did use the day spa at the Levi Spa hotel, we didn't pre-book and cost around 20 euros per adult. We found the facilities basic and family orientated and the pools and Jacuzzis cold. We oy stayed an hour.
All in all I really this hotel is faultless and we would definitely return.

Travelled as a large family so we were split between 4 rooms. Family rooms all had a large drying cabinet which was handy to throw all our wet gloves and suits in. Gorgeous views over the ski slope. Room cleaned and fresh towels, toiletries and coffee etc provided each day. Our rooms only had showers no bath which was fine as our children are older, I’m not sure if any have a bath. Beds were comfy but the pull out for the kids not so much but for 4 nights was fine. The room was unbearably hot the first night so we asked reception if they could turn the temperature down any more which they did and also provided us with a key to be able to open the window properly. We only stayed bed and breakfast but breakfast was ok (coffee not great). Pizzas nice at lunchtime and we ate once in the evening next to the bar area and had a great meal! We travelled with TUI and our reps were amazing and in the hotel most of the time to help with anything from booking trips to recommending restaurants in the town. If your suits/boots are too big there is somewhere in the hotel to change them at certain times of the day. Hotel has a small shop area next to reception that sells some basics like toothpaste, shampoo, snacks but if you need anything more you can take the cable car or taxi into town. We had passes included for the cable car which only took a few minutes to get into town. Washing machines and dryers available to use free of charge (we found on 3rd floor) and also washing powder provided but if you want it to smell nice I’d recommend buying some softener from the supermarket in town for a few euros. No pool in the hotel but you can take the cable car down or taxi to Levi spa and pay for a day pass (closed on a Sunday). I would recommend Hook and Colorado grill in town for food.

Our first time visiting Finland (and hopefully won’t be our last) we had an amazing time in one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been!

One of the best things about this hotel is the location, located in the centre of town (albeit at the top of the ski slope) it makes it easier for getting around and also for finding your way back. Definitely worth paying that bit extra for the location especially if travelling with children, as some of the other hotels were spread out and might have been too far for little legs.

As the hotel is at the top of the ski slope you do get a free pass included for the express cabin lift which is really handy, although the first few rides can be a little scary until you get used to it. While the lift is handy,it does stop operating rather early in the evening - which was a shame as it meant you felt a bit like you had a curfew and had to rush back before it stopped operating . That being said you could always get a taxi back or walk up- but we didn’t fancy it!

We opted for a superior room which was comfortable and spacious- it came with a drying cabinet but we didn’t use it. Unfortunately our room didn’t have a view of the slopes (we did know that might be the case before we arrived as I think it is only the standard rooms which have a view of the slopes) as we were overlooking the front of the hotel, but it didn’t matter as you couldn’t see from the balcony as it was covered with glass to protect from the wind. We would of loved to have a bath in the room, however the shower was adequate.

Included within our holiday we were provided with snow suits (which are collected on route to the hotel) unfortunately not all ours fitted properly and we needed to change them. Luckily for us they had the same company within the reception and we was able to exchange them there.

The hotel has a live camera located just by the express lift rolling 24/7 on YouTube too so you can always share your experience with family/friends who aren’t there! Also there is a small slope for sledding at the side of the hotel.

The only letdown we found was the food, understandably the food was aimed more for Europeans and that’s fine it just wasn’t really for us. We had read on other peoples reviews that the choice/quality was limited on the evening meal and I’d have to agree with them. For that reason we wouldn’t recommend eating at the hotel but it’s fine as there are lots of lovely restaurants in town.

Overall we would definitely recommend the hotel and we would return!

Stayed here for 3 nights December 21. As part of a TUI package deal. I was sceptical about going with TUI and package deals. But overall was very impressed. The hotel is beautifully located at the top of the slope, and the hotel provides you with a gondola pass to the bottom of the slope and back up, which we used often. Doesn’t cover the last day though.

At the bottom of the slope is a ski hire shop, always plenty available but no last minute lessons available so book ahead if you want any lessons with the ski school.

There is kids land at the far left of the slopes, where there is a beginners slope and button lift, all free to use.

Places to eat are plenty, we went bed and breakfast, many people that stayed half board commented that the food wasn’t great and ate out, so tip to stay bed and breakfast. As part of TUI trip you get lunch with the Father Christmas village and you get an evening meal as part of the festive finale, so overall we only ate out a few times so I imagine that makes half board even less worth it. If you do eat out highly recommend conti pizza and pancake house!! Conti pizza is at the bottom across from the slopes, pancake house is just a short walk straight through the little Main Street opposite the slopes.

If we came back wouldn’t do a package deal, but would definitely come to Levi again & stay in a lodge. Being with TUI we ended up totally relying on their itinerary and would have liked more freedom. Christmas village was ok, nothing overly special and only there for about 90 minutes. Then on way home we ended up at the airport over 3 hours before our flight. Which seems excessive being a trip designed for children, no child wants to spend that much time at the airport waiting.
You also have to return the snow suits the night before, for my little boy he would have loved to have spent that time sledding.

Snow suits, boots and socks provided, they are ok, smelt a little of smoke, were too big and not as thick as our ski clothes, so would recommend taking your own if you have some. The boots are also well worn.

There are sleds everywhere that people have left, so don’t need to invest in one.

The rooms in the hotel were blank and no hint of Christmas, would have been great to see them decorated for our little boy especially being part of a Santa trip.

Stayed as part of a family, 4 adults and 1 child in early December, was part of the Inghams package deal.

Hotel is only 20 mins from the airport, so a very quick transfer.

Check in was very simple and we had snow clothing and boots as part of our trip which was all fine in the hotel lobby, and was very easy.

We stayed on the 4th floor facing the ski slopes, room was of a good size and had no complaints. Room was cleaned daily with new towels, only minor problem was milk was not replaced on 2 of the days.

Location is excellent, with fantastic views of Levi being part way up the slope. There is gondolas to get up and down with cane with the room price so very easy to get to town. Note these close at 9, so you can walk (730 steps) up the slope or get a bus €5 a person or taxi €25 back to hotel. Note during our stay there were strikes on the ski lifts which effected the gondola, not hotels fault but annoying.

Only real letdown was the food, we were half board so had breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was ok but evening meal was very poor, hardly warm and not many choices at all. Overall the quality of the food was just not that good. I did have some paid food in the bar which was good quality, so it’s only the half board option that’s poor. If this was improved I would 5*.

Check out very simple and no issues at all.

I have seen the odd review saying staff were rude, I didn’t experience this at all and the staff were friendly, and professional in my opinion.

If I came back again I would stay at the Panorama due to its location and setting, but perhaps not half board.

The hotel has the most perfect setting, adjacent to the ski slopes and sits peering over the pretty town below. We didn’t ski this time as we were booked on other excursions but will take lessons to have a go next year. Yes, it was that good we are going back for my sons 16th birthday next December! The hotel was clean and rooms well appointed. We had a superior room so it was nice and spacious. Nothing to watch on the TV though as they had no English channels which was a bit disappointing so this is the only area for improvement. Staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly and the town is delightful. It has several gift shops, a coffee shop, a pancake shop - which was a meal in itself, a Burger King, King Crab and a Steakhouse, as well as subway if you have younger children or fancy a light sandwich. We went half board at the hotel but they are stopping this and so the only option now is bed and breakfast. The hotel does serve food in the bar and it looked nice. We only ate half board but as I’ve said that’s stopped now. Prices for food are slightly higher than the UK but not by much. Maybe £2 or so. It’s definitely not like Iceland, which was very expensive. Excursions were fab. We went to the snow village which is worth a visit. The craftsmanship is outstanding. You can get to the village from the hotel using the gondola (mini cable car). We loved it. So quick and easy. It runs regularly, every few minutes in fact, and is free with our holiday. If you don’t like it or want to stay in the town later than 9.30pm there is a bus service. Be careful getting in and out as the metal floor plates get very slippery. Overall we loved this place. And if you want to ski or snowboard you really couldn’t find better for convenience.

Have you ever been to a hotel that charges you for house keeping and their version of “cleaning the room” is basically just replacing the towels.

We’ve been here 3 night and 4 days and our room hasn’t been cleaned once.

We were forced to stay at this hotel because we are part of the Porsche Driving Experience and even after volunteering to clean the room myself at 10pm at night since the room wasn’t cleaned all day, I was informed that the “cleaning supplies are locked away in a cupboard”

I would definitely thing 10 times before booking at this hotel and wasting your money. If you need to do chores on vacation, what’s the point of that vacation anyway ?
