Average hotel with pleasant staff, but the only thing that lets this hotel down is the food, or the lack of it. You only have a few options which was poor at the best, both breakfast and evening meal so your better off going B&B. No atmosphere in hotel and the bar staff didn’t have a clue on working the bar, that’s if you can find them. Good points.. room cleaned daily, sauna in room and hotel close to town and the lake.. Would i stay here again??? At a push yes

Beautiful hotel conveniently located in Levi. Rooms were clean, tidy & serviced daily. Zero point is approximately 5-7 minute walk, supermarket was 3-5 minutes. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good with a large variety of choices. I struggled at evening meal due to being vegetarian, not a lot of choice but still managed to plate something up. Good children’s & meat eater selection. Would absolutely stay in this hotel again!

We stayed as a group of 6 half board in December 2022. Overall our holiday was good! Our rooms were of a good size and warm, it was lovely having saunas in our bathrooms. We enjoyed having rooms overlooking the rear of the hotel with views overlooking the reindeer. The bar area was nice with a log fire and the bar staff were very friendly. The only thing that let this place down was the buffet in the evening. The food was bland and not very imaginative for anyone with any dietary requirements. We were SO BORED of the food - I basically had the same thing every night: watery soup to begin with (as I was craving vegetables!) and then fish and salad for main. Any vegetables they had were tasteless. We felt so disappointed with this. One of our group had very specific dietary requirements which the hotel tried to help with, but her meals were so limited and bland, I felt so sorry for her. It was such a shame and let the whole holiday down.

We stayed at the K5 for 3 nights in a standard room. The room is a decent size with drying cupboard and sauna. It offered chrome cast to stream from your own device but could not get this working (stayed previously at a sister property and had no issues). It has a glassed in balcony area and our room was facing the road but had no issues with noise, at all. The furniture is getting a little tired and probably needs a refresh soon! The bathroom isn’t huge but you make do. No fridge in the room but it was -15 whilst we were there so turned our balcony into our own fridge. Self parking with power to plug the car in. Breakfast was included and the restaurant is a good size as it can get busy. Hot and cold options included a toaster! The hotel also has their own reindeer and you can buy food from reception for EUR7. Only issue we had was our first morning, housekeeping was quite early and woke us up opening the door. We didn’t have the do not disturb on as it wasn’t a late start for us on that particular day. We did put it on every night after that, just in case. Short walk to everything you need in Levi including restaurants. All in all, a good hotel to stay at that is reasonably priced!

We stayed at the Levi K2 hotel on the 4th December. The lodge was lovely and had most things you needed for a comfy stay. A lovely log burner with logs available in the bin storage free of charge the cabin was a little sparse but lovely and clean and the sauna and washing/drying room came in handy. The lodge was sadly not decorated at all with any form of Christmas decorations not even lights which was a shame... The cabin was in a good location a 10 min walk from the supermarket and main Zero point and restaurants. The cabin was also a short walk from the frozen lake which is ideal for spotting the Northern lights and the hotel had reindeers onsite that you could feed for 7e a bag of reindeer food. We travelled with Inghams and the excursions were well planned and the reps were helpful. The main problem about this hotel is the food. The breakfast was if a good varied standard but the dinners we awful. Poor quality and little imagination to the variation. The children's menu was basically dried nuggets or meatballs and very salty chips. We ended up self catering or eating out which isn't cheap but found a nice pizza place and pub called old mates. Essentials to take are thermal socks good ones, hand warmers and food warmers, snoods and some alcohol if you drink as it's very expensive. A magical experience

We stayed at the K5 Hotel at the end Nov/beg Dec ‘22, and found the staff to be friendly & welcoming and interested in our activities day by day, always welcoming a chat. We chose a room overlooking the reindeer coral (there were only 3 living in there during our stay), at the rear of the Hotel. We felt this was the better side to be situated, rather than the front overlooking the brightly lit car park, and ski run. The room was relatively basic, had a small sauna, and was kept clean, as were all the common areas of the Hotel. I think it’s worth mentioning that the K5 is situated on the outskirts of town, and Ingham’s (who we travelled with), fails to tell you that their excursions only depart from the Levi Spa & Crazy Reindeer Hotels. For someone less mobile, this might be a factor in choosing another, more convenient Hotel. The buses literally only drop off/pick up from Hotels for the airport, not for any activities. The Hotel is well placed for a walk to the frozen lake though, and the cabins look lovely for those wanting to self cater, or travelling in a larger group. Where this Hotel does fall down is on the catering for half board guests. We found ourselves able to find something from the choices given each morning, but the evening meal was something else. Whether it was because the Hotel had recently opened (if we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt), the choice each evening wasn’t really ‘a choice’. There was a soup/bread, a small selection of salad, then 4 metal heated serving dishes with the hot choices for that day. If you were there for 5pm when the ‘buffet’ opens, the food (mostly indiscernible) might be hot, any later, it’s lukewarm at best! Speaking to guests from other Hotels, who described bountiful buffets with lots of choice, it was a huge let down. We called in most evenings to see if the choices got any better, sadly it didn’t, and we witnessed children being offered chicken nuggets/chips for at least 3 of the nights we were there (we were there for 7). We know that the chefs are indeed very talented, choosing to eat off the A la Carte Menu one night, which was very tasty and hot (but in the same restaurant/table). Sadly, this menu was limited, and we didn’t like anything else on it, the Hotel give €12 off these dishes if choosing to swap your half board option. We decided to eat out in the evening for the rest of the week. Maybe it would be in the Hotel’s interests in future to consider serving just a starter and dessert (although the same sponge covered in the fruit from breakfast as a dessert was very repetitive) buffet style, leaving the Chef’s to make a fresh main meal option. This would not only ensure less waste, but that guests are given a hot, tasty meal of their choice. From a location point of view (due to mobility issues) we would be unlikely to stay here if we went back. However, we would have no problem recommending the Hotel B&B, or the cabins for any larger groups.

We stayed in one of the hotel’s cabins rather than the actual hotel itself. I’ve stayed in many different cabins in different regions of Finnish Lapland but K5 has definitely been one of my favourite stays. The location is superb (quite close to shops and restaurants) and the cabin itself was very clean, spacious and inviting. We did have a couple of issues during our stay but the team were quick as lightning to solve any problems. We self-catered so didn’t experience a meal in the restaurant, but we did use the bar many times. Drinks were lovely but definitely not cheap! That’s Finland for you 😆 The hotel bar/ reception area was warm and inviting, tastefully decorated and a very relaxing area to be in. Free use of skis and other sports equipment is really generous of the hotel and we made sure to make the most of this! The Hotel have their own Reindeer outside. We must’ve spent well over €100 feeding them over the course of the week, but honestly, feeding the Reindeer was so much fun and definitely worth the €6 a bag each time.

We have just returned from the K5 Here are the pros and cons Pros. Good location for Levi shops Supermarket close Sauna in room Clothes Dryer Big Rooms Balcony View of reindeers Free safe in room Warm ( but you cannot control this so can get too warm ) Bar meals good but expensive Cons Mattress on bed walks off the bed Rooms are not cleaned they say due to Covid Have to replenish own towels coffees, milk etc from cart down corridor, not always there to get. Cups never changed Floors get dirty with walking in with boots etc. Breakfast same every day, bacon, hash brown, cocktail sausages, pancakes, salad, cheese, cooked meat, cereals. Lukewarm at most. Evening meal terrible, little choice overcooked/stewed, was 1 meat, 1 fish 2 veg, salad no cooked meats. cold and unappetising. Drinks very expensive, small bottle beer 8.70 euros No atmosphere No WIFI If you want a room with a view these appear to be odd number ones we stayed 203 you overlook the reindeers, ours had a balcony which is covered with glass you can open if wished, but very cold to stay out there. If you are interested in winter sports its a good place to stay, but if not there's nothing much to do. You can walk down to the frozen lake and may see the northern lights.

Dear CherylHooson, Thank you for your review and your visit. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the meals in the restaurants. Our management has decided not to do day cleaning in the room automatically, because of the Covid -19 situation. In that way we try to void our guest and also our staff to get ill. It is true that we have had big problems with the wifi. Wifi device was broken, and we had to send it to Netherlands to get it fixed and it takes too long time to get it back. I hope we can serve you better next time. With kind regards, Pasi / Front desk

We recently stayed at the K5 hotel for a week, getting married up at the Northern Lights Ranch. We absolutely loved our stay at K5 the hotel is well equipped the rooms (for 5 of us clean and spacious). We can not thanks the staff enough, all who went above and beyond our expectations. Special thanks to the lovely cleaning lady who was brought in at last minute to help lace up my wedding dress - such a lovely lady. And to the man on reception who kindly printed out our passenger locator forms. We were more than happy with the food provided and especially the separate kids option each night. My boys loved the sledges provided by the hotel and the little one adored using the playroom after tea. Having your meals looking directly out onto the coral of reindeer is a special treat. The hotel is in a lovely location and east walking distance to the slopes, frozen lake and the shops. We will definitely be back 😀
