My partner and I stayed at Foxfires for 4 nights and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It's even more beautiful than the pictures - if thats even possible! So much effort has been put into the little details, it truly is a magical winter wonderland. Check in : We had a late flight which was behind schedule, and it took us a little longer than expected to pick up our rental car and drive the 2 hours from Rovaniemi to Levi (beautiful scenary). Paul and Aggie stayed up to greet us even though it was 12am by the time we arrived. Room: We stayed in the Wolf room which had two huge windows providing the perfect view of the snowy forest, you may also get a visit from squirrels coming right up to your window like we did. The double bed was extremely comfortable, there was also a nespresso machine with plenty of pods, a box of chocolates, and a mini fridge full of soft drinks and non alcoholic beer. The bedroom design is of a very high standard and had a cozy feel to it. The en-suite was modern and had all the hygeine products you could possibly need including a hair dryer and towels, the shower is hot and powerful. Theres plenty of storage for your snow gear, USB ports and underfloor heating which kept us toasty. Just sitting in our bed looking at the scenary was magical. Food: We were served breakfast everyday in the open plan kitchen/lounge area, which is just as beautiful as the rest of their house. Paul and Aggie prepared amazing breakfasts, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice for us each day which filled us up ready for a day full of activites. We had crepes with yoghurt and billberries, poached eggs and ham on toast, scrambled eggs, muffins and forgotton cookies - all were delicious. The coffee was so nice we bought some to take home with us. Hosts : Paul and Aggie are wonderful hosts, they really couldn't do enough for us. They are always there to give you reccomendations but also give you your privacy, perfect balance. The first night we arrived we told them that our husky tour booked for the next day had been cancelled due to lack of snow. They were able to contact Eanan Levi Tours at very short notice and very late at night and we were able to book a husky ride for the next morning. We are so glad this was possible as the husky tour was our favourite part of our trip. We found the Vamoos app very helpful for contacting Paul and Aggie when we were out and about and provided all the information we needed for our whole trip. We ate at Lost Tacos, Gastro K, King Crab House and Utsu which were all reccommended in the Vamoos app, all food was amazing and gave us the opportunity to taste Finnish cusine. Last but certainly not least Gooseberry (their lovely dog) was also an amazing host, we enjoyed him greeting us every morning for breakfast. Location : The location is perfect for those who like a secluded relaxed accomodation. Foxfires is about 8 minutes drive from the centre of Levi where most restuarants and meet up points for excursions are. Restaurant Utsu was a 4 minute drive away and Eanan Levi tours' reindeer farm is a stone throw away (would highly recommend both). We went in November, so Levi was not packed with tourists which was really nice. As Foxfires is more secluded and away from light polution I imagine with the right weather conditions you would be able to view the Aurora above the accomodation, as seen in the pictures. It was cloudy when we stayed at Foxfires but we were still lucky enough to see the Aurora on our way from Rovaniemi to Levi and also on our plane ride home. Spa: We booked the arctic spa experience for our third night's stay, which is definitely worth doing. We got to experience a traditional Finnish sauna and use the beautiful smelling sauna scents, cool down outside in the snow, relax in the hot tub and finish our night cooking food and toasting marshmallows on the fire in the Kota. Paul and Aggie also provided us with sausages, marshmallows and non alcoholic wine which was a lovely touch. We booked the spa experience at 7pm which meant that the whole area was lit up with fairy lights giving it a truly magical feel. Check out : We were sad to check out after our 4 night stay and say our goodbyes (especially to Gooseberry), but were given one of Aggie's homemade gingerbread christmas decorations as a souvenir to remind us of our lovely trip to Lapland. We had the best time staying at Foxfires, you really feel at one with nature and receive an authentic experience. If you are visiting Levi/Finland, I 100% reccomend staying here it will not dissapoint!

Paul, Aggie (and Gooseberry) were fantastic hosts and Foxfires itself is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Wolf room which has two huge windows overlooking the beautifully lit garden and surrounding forest. There was cloud cover when we stayed and so we didn’t see the aurora but, on a clear night, the views of the aurora would be stunning, as evidenced by some of Aggie’s photography. Incredibly clean and comfortable with modern bathroom and great shower/bath products. Foxfires is modern and very homely with a beautiful reception room where we were served breakfast - make sure to try Paul’s rye bread and homemade, foraged berry jams. The garden really is a winter wonderland and the property is surrounded by forest - so you really do feel at one with nature! We also did the Arctic spa experience one evening which included the sauna and hot tub with lovely sauna products - I hadn’t felt so relaxed in ages as when I was sitting in the hot tub listening to the breeze rustle the leaves of the trees! Honestly, no review could really do justice to how much we enjoyed being hosted by Paul and Aggie - we would absolutely love to go back soon!

We stayed at Foxfires to celebrate a birthday, and this adorable place did not disappoint!!! Hosts were fantastic, friendly and helpful but also gave you privacy and space. The location was ideal! 13 minutes from airport, 10 minutes to town for food etc, but you still felt like you were in a private forest all to yourself. Absolutely perfect and just what we wanted. We utilized their arctic spa and man, do not miss out on this! We had a sunny day, which was magical, but I truly do not think there would be a bad day/time to do this add on. Snowy? Gorgeous. Dark? Light? I would have done it again if possible haha. The breakfast provided was AMAZING! I love to eat, and usually am not into breakfast at accommodations, but this was just wonderful. Several food options, coffee, juice, absolutely felt like a restaurant experience each morning. I cannot say enough good things!!!

One of the best boutique accommodations we have ever been. The owners, Aggie and Paul, were super friendly and helpful. Homemade breakfast is delicious! It is also very close to the center of Levi. Please also make sure to book the sauna experience.... It was an amazing experience! Looking forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you for giving us amazing memories!!

Aggie, Paul and Gooseberry (their lovely dog) are passionate hosts who have designed this place with so much love that you will feel home immediately! The breakfast that they prepare for you is amazing! Try the pancakes!!! You have just everything you need there. You will feel really sad when you have to leave this stunning place!

Have to say Foxfires absolutely live up to our expectation and hopes. Not only is it a wonderful accomodation with the best spa, the hosting of Paul and Agnieska really takes it to that top level experience. Room: We stayed in the Wolf room with the double windows which was so picturesque. Was great to have a proper double bed unlike some other local accomodation Food: Geniunely the breakfast was up there with the best I have had and Aggy's poached eggs are something I still think about now! Spa: If you are wondering whether to do the spa then the answer is yes. So private yet fully exposed to nature outside and under the stars People: Paul/Aggy/Gooseberry were wondful and so warm and welcoming. They really live a fantastic life there and its nice to have a bit of that expeirence for a few days! Look forward to the day we revisit and wish them all the best! Guy & Izzy

We had the pleasure at staying with Aggie and Paul in their amazing Foxfires Home July 2020. The room with a breathtaking view to a magical Foxfires forest was like sleeping in nature - with all the latest amenities;) Everything in the room is top notch and hand picked with love. Paul and Aggie made a lovely and healthy breakfast every morning, perfect for an active holiday in the nature. Not to mention the truly tasty cakes, still missing those. And what would be more perfect than relaxing in the sauna and hottub after a long day of hiking. I would highly recommend!
