Best casa we stayed at! The room was small but nice and we had our own little terrace. Breakfast was superb, with freshly made juices, coffee and hot chocolate from Baracoa fruit, bread , egg and always a little extra like a piece of cucuruchu (local sweat treat) or a biscuit and also dinner was really good. But what makes...

The best casa we've seen on this 5 weeks trip in Cuba. Isabel was the heart of the house, who took care of their guests from the beginning until the end - heat and singing. Isabel had personally meeting us at the bus station. The agreement was found, although we used English and Isabel Spanish. The room was spacious and...

In 3 weeks of traveling Cuba this was the best place I stayed in. La casa is situated in a wonderful colonial house with a big garden and an opened dining-room. The owners a very nice. Isabel walks through the house - always smiling and singing. In the evening I spent time with Pepe watching Baseball and listening to the...

A beautiful Casa with very nice people. We booked this Casa through our Casa owner in Havana. When we arrived to Baracoa, Pepe (Isabel's son) waited for us at the airport and took us to the casa. Pepe speaks English and he gave us all the information we needed and more. Isabel is a lovely woman! very nice and pleasant,...

This is THE place you want to stay in Cuba! As we have learned during our traveling, the casa you stay at, influences a lot the experience you have in the city / village. No doubt about it, Baracoa was our favorite place, and it has a lot to do with Isabel and her family. They made us feel the...

Isabel is quite a character - extremely friendly and welcoming, and her Casa is a beautiful place to spend a few days and an excellent base from which to visit Baracoa. She lined us up with a taxi driver who is a friend of the family, who took us to the Humboldt National Park and the Yumuri delta, and those...

We stayed at the great Casa Colonial Yalina & Gustavo first, and that was nothing but great, but as they had another booking (we knew this and it was no problem) we went to Isabel castro Vilato for one more night. This was also great! The only downside is that it's just 100m further away from the city center, but...

We had a very pleasant stay at El Colonial. There was a fine dining room with open windows to the lovely garden. Breakfast was very good and generous. Isabel and her family are perfect hosts, we felt very much at home. Her son made us good dinners. His speciality of fish in coconut milk was delicious. He also talks English....
