This is a budget hotel that is half an hour from Montreal. When we arrived we were disappointed the rooms are small and our room had a shared bathroom. After coming home at the end of day 1 the non-air-conditioned room did have a steady Breeze coming in which cooled the room down significantly. The bathrooms were shared dormitory-style and...

I stayed for a weekend retreat with a group of people and enjoyed the converted convent feel of the place and it many communal areas, halls, sitting rooms, etc. Note: No TVs, phones or shampoo in rooms.

This was built as a retreat centre, and the ambiance reflects a degree of religious austerity. Nevertheless it is clean and comfortable (so long as you can manage without en-suite facilities). Its position beside the St Lawrence River and adjacent to a nature reserve make it ideal for those who want some tranquility.

The manoir is on Isle St. Bernard and fronts the Chateauguay River at a very wide point, so there is water to the horizon. Guest rooms are in a building formerly occupied by the Grey Nuns of Chateauguay and they are small but comfortable. No television but wireless internet is available. Food is served in a cafeteria and it is...

We loved the location. It's so calm! Big garden, lake vieuw,...The restaurants food was very good and lots of choice! The room is maybe a bit dated, but it's still ok. For a stopover, I would certainly return once more.

Manoir D'Youville is a heritage site on an island (Isle St. Bernard) just 20 minutes from Montreal, but once you arrive you are worlds away as you stroll on the beautiful grounds surrounded by nature. It used to be a convent but has now been taken over by the City of Chateauguay and is still very well run. I have...

Manoir D'Youville at 498 Boulevard d'Youville is a long way from Quebec City. This location is really in Chateauguay, Quebec across from the city of Montreal approximately 28 Km. Anyone landing in Quebec City would have to drive 284 Kilometres or 154 miles. The serene location is a former convent and as such is rather spares in decor but it's...

“If wifi is important ask for a room with a good signal. Some rooms share bathrooms, so request room with bath if privacy is important.”
