The hotel is located in the central district and proved to be a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were very clean, large, and had a lot of character. The breakfast was very good and the ladies at reception were very accommodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend - my wife and I certainly enjoyed our stay.

The most fantastic view from our bedroom - couldn't be bettered. The hotel is very characterful, clean and friendly. The breakfast was much better than we'd expected from some of the reviews. Only slight criticisms might be that the bedroom was a bit basic - no hairdryer for instance and that we missed having a head board. Would definitely recommend...

This hotel is centrally located. The room had a great view and the buffet breakfast had lots of choice. There is no parking at the hotel however and the path from the luggage drop off point is fairly long and quite steep. The room was small and there were no comfortable common areas to lounge in. We found the price...

This lovely Hotel is an ideal base if you're travelling around the Cadiz Region & Andalucia. This quaint Hotel/Hostal is spotlessly clean. Room 10 is a good size, bright, airy & has a fantastic view over the village of Vejer and over to Morocco. The rooms are cleaned & provided with fresh towels every day. There is a good variety for...

We stayed for one night in this charming hotel. Our room had an amazing view of the village and all the farmland around us. Our bed was the most comfortable one we sleep on during our 24 day trip through Portugal and Spain. It is in a great location as the centre square is literally just around the corner. We...

We had a wonderful stay in Vejer de la Frontera at the Hotel La Botica de Vejer - we thoroughly recommend the hotel. The receptionist/owner was lovely, very helpful and recommended a wonderful restaurant - Corredera 55 - for dinner on an outdoor terrace overlooking the valley watching the sun go down.Food was delicious and good value too. We parked...

Quiet street, friendly advice and eco friendly hotel. The room was a little small but had a great view over the town and countryside. Would have liked to have seen proper jams at breakfast. The roof terrace was great however it rained a lot while we were there so didn't get to use it much!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hostal La Botica is situated within the walls of the old town of Vejer de la Frontera, and it owes its name to the fact that it was once the local pharmacy (Botica meaning pharmacy in old Spanish). This has been the inspiration behind the names of the bedrooms, all of which pertain to different schools of pharmacy.La Botica could be described as a home-hotel; we would like our guests to feel like welcome visitors in our home, rather than clients, and we believe that this is the best place to stay in Vejer. We have placed particular emphasis upon creating comfortable rooms in which the charm of the building itself, its location, and the views offer the defining character. ... more   less
