GREAT LOCATION for centrality to various wine regions. Easy access to Siena (at only about 10k /10 minutes away), easy and personable innkeepers Massimo and Claudia were great communicators, and easy living in the quiet, restful hamlet of Poggio Salvi. Stayed in apartment "Le Rose", which was perfect for two couples with well-equipped kitchen, fireplace in living room and nice...

Traveling to Poggio Salvi, we did not know what to expect. After we arrived - and after a warm and friendly welcome by Massimo - we went to our appertment, Il Girasole. This appartment was during a week our place tot live and to enjoy the real Italian live and spirit. The location of Pggio Salvi is realy exiting! Almost...

But, if you want to really live la dolce vita and...

If you are looking or somewhere to stay close to Siena, this should be the one you choose. It is in a beautiful, quiet location. The apartments are lovely, and the grounds are well taken care of. The owner and his wife are delightful. My Husband and I never wanted to leave! All of the main towns are within day...

We stayed at Poggio Salvi for 4 nights after a week of touring Rome, Venice and Florence. It was quiet, quaint, and cozy. We had a rental car (GPS a must) and went out each morning to tour villages in Tuscany, returning in the evening to cook dinner or go to a nearby restaurant. We stayed at Massimo's smallest "apartment",...

This was our second visit to Poggio Salvi, staying in the same apartment Il Glicine. Massimo, the owner, lives on the estate and was always friendly and helpful. The apartment was well appointed and very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to buy wine by the carafe from his vineyard. S. Rocco a Pilli (less than 10 mins away)...
