Stayed at RN for 2 nights. Property itself is very nice but is very overpriced, hence, 4 rating. # Property / Location: RN is essentially a hunting lodge of the erstwhile maharajas converted into boutique hotel. Old wing is the heritage building with smaller rooms while the new block has larger rooms. RN is easy to reach as its situated in the village which is on the main road. So you dont need to meander offroad. # Rooms : Rooms in the new block are super spacious. Just beware of sitting in the balcony with eatables due to monkey menace. All amenities are provided for. Only issue being there are 3 rooms per floor, so incase someone is playing loud music / TV, then, it cause disturbance. (call front desk incase it happens) # Staff/Food : Certainly the biggest strength of RN. All staff are very well trained & leave no stone unturned in terms of their service. Special mention to Mr Lala (Big) who was outstanding. # Activities : i. Safaris - You cam opt for safari experience hoping to spot leopards. The place has decent leopard density & usually you should have a sighting. Gypys are shared with other guests. This is chargeable activity. (we paid arnd 7k per person). So its quite a rip-off. Hence my comment on "over-priced". If you are a wildlife enthusiast, hope your gypsy does not have the "tourist" crowd on one of these safaris. ii. Short 1.5k trek (up & down) to the hill opposite the hotel. Its called elephant hill due to its shape & also has an elephant structure on the top. This is complimentary :-) Go either for sunrise or sunset. You get a good panoramic view. I As per the staff accompanying us, you may even see Kumbhalgarh fort on a clear day from atop. iii. Stepwell dinner: Easily one of the biggest highlight of staying at RN. There is an old stepwell which is exclusive to RN about 1.5k from the hotel. They organize dinner at this place for the guests. Again a chargeable affair ranging between 5-6.5k per person. Most importantly this is w/o drinks. For that you are charged separately. Overall a good place to stay as an offbeat property. Also away from Ranakpur hotel rush/crowd. As i said, only drawback is the mentality to "overcharge" the guest for everything. Even a car wash costs Rs 200. We had 10% discount on food & beverages as part our booking and it was not applied to stepwell dinner amount. The front desk at RN stated the price quoted for stepwell dinner was inclusive of 10% discount. We had to reason out & literally demand that the apply the discount for stepwell dinner during check-out. The amount was a paltry Rs1,000 but the point being that RN is just looking at avenues to rip-off guests. That left a bit of sour taste in an otherwise nice stay.…
Wonderful property, great service and the cherry on top is the leopard sighting Safari brilliantly conducted . Excellent breakfast ,snack meñu and dinner al fresco with the chef giving great inputs, Highly recommended
Simply beautiful the place is, Great hospitality Exclusively treated spaces & exclusivity on every aspect.. We loved the meals, the cocktails, the beautifully crafted stepwell dinner. We unfortunately ran short of time to enjoy even more but perhaps next time
Fabulous property!! Super hospitality!! Amazing staff !! A must must go !! Leopard safari was also amazing a must do !! Spotted 4 leopards !! Step well Dinner was also very goods .. Rooms were big and nice too !!
Hospitality was good , Food was ok. But rooms were very small & suffocating. This Heritage Property is NOT it's Worth. We were 24 Friends & all were disappointed with the stay. Obviously we don't plan to visit it next time. Thanks
