Our visit to Rancho Santana was perfect. We stayed in a private home, Casa Brown on the beach , which surpassed our expectations. We spent a lot of time at the clubhouse for dinner and at the pool through out our trip. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating . I can't say enough positive about this resort . Security...

We just loved this place. Stayed here for a week and we were absolutely in Paradise. So difficult to leave. Our home was so spacy and beautiful so close to the beach. The service are excelent and you will miss nothing here. We took a one day trip to Granada, to see this beautiful old colonial city. Good food and...

We stayed in one of the homes. Rancho Santana is stunning. There are 5 separate beaches , two club houses. Perched on a hill. There are monkeys and parrots. Very good value. The beaches are secluded. I was the only one on a few. The clubhose is stunning.

I am so happy that you took in much of the beautiful nature Rancho Santana has to offer. We hope that you may come back to enjoy some of the other amenities such as surf lessons, spa treatments, horse back riding along our trails or anyone of our out of rancho tours. Until next time,

What can I say about Rancho Santana? The least enjoyable thing about our trip was actually getting there as the bus trip from the airport definitely took longer than I thought it was going to take. But once we got there it was awesome. More than awesome. Like never want to come back awesome. We stayed in the rental Villas...

Susan M, Sorry to hear about the accounting mix ups, we are currently in the process revamping our systems to avoid these hiccups. In spite of the glitches, I am glad that this was one of your favorite vacations ever! We hope to see you again soon for some more memories.

We stayed in a private home on the ranch for two weeks. The house was beautiful, and the staff who came in on a daily basis were amazing. The only downside to the entire vacation was the home construction going on right next door- the workmen were there six days a week from 7 am to 5 pm. The staff...

Beth, There are many places you could have chosen to stay in Nicaragua and I am glad you chose us. I am very sorry about the construction, we hope it did not effect you too much. Glad to see that Alvaro took great care of you and your family while exploring. We hope to see you back soon!

We spent a wonderful week in early July at the development called Rancho Santana in Nicaragua. We stayed at one of the ocean view homes called El Mirador. The property is just beautiful, atop a ridge that has outstanding ocean views out both the front and back doors and is surrounded by rainforest with well-maintained trails. Although we were there...

Great accommodations. Beautiful location. A car is helpful if you are renting a house as we did. Staff is very friendly. Learn spanish or download a translation app, most people don't speak any English or very little English.

Stayed at the Inn for 5 days. Great surf out front and great food. I was amazed at the facilities and how clean/nice the rooms were. It would be hard to imagine there being a nicer place in Nicaragua. Their new Yoga Studio is spectacular. I'll be back!

Went to Rancho Santa Ana with my girlfriend and we had a truly great time. Visited almost all the beaches, had surfing lessons, yoga sessions, ate our way through the week and rested a lot. Highly recommend the hotel. Room was great, with a beautiful terrace. The staff is very kind, never missed a beat.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rancho Santana, set serenely in the Southwest Pacific offers a collection of distinctive seaside experiences. Though little more than two hours from Nicaragua's capital city of Managua by car, the property has grown into a quiet community that enjoys purity, authenticity, and a somehow romantically rustic elegance. Both residential and resort, "the ranch" boasts over 2,700 acres of majestic land along two miles of shoreline which include five unique beaches. And while this paradise is the perfect setting to do nothing at all but sunbathe and stargaze, its remarkable range of terrain, unique climate and soothing coastal breezes make it a coveted destination for the more active and adventurous traveler. Tucked between the open sea and the immense Lake Nicaragua, "the ranch" has the distinction of being one of the only isthmuses on the entire Pacific Ocean. This unique geographical phenomenon creates gentle tropical breezes, which when paired with year-round warm ocean waters make the beaches' surfing conditions some of the most coveted on the planet. With the early sunrise, "shredders" of all ages and origins take to the breaks of Las Cinco Playas de Rancho Santana, which include some of the world's most vertical waves, providing both visual drama as well as world-class surfing. Lookers-on walk the water's edge watching the surfers dance across the waves while just yards behind them fisherman bring in what will be the evening's fresh catch in the clubhouse's renowned restaurant, La Finca y el Mar. ... more   less
