This review is long overdue. I went there for ten days in August 2012. Loved it. I'm an old guy who lives in metro Detroit, so I got pounded for the first three days. But by the end of the trip I had some of the best rides of my life there. The waves are juicy and can get hollow...

I stayed for 10 days at the start of my journey of Nicaragua and it was the perfect way to ease into it. It's a little further out of town but Robert provided me with a bike and it was great to be able to chill out away from the crowd. The break out front can pump!! But either way...

Great place, I definitely recommend staying at PBL for anyone who wants a quiet getaway in a beautiful country. There are restaurants a few minutes walk away and the lodge is directly on a beach with great surf, and many more spots in the area. The house has a kitchen and we cooked fresh fish almost every day. The rooms...

So glad i went on this trip. Me and a friend stayed at Popoyo beach lodge for 9 days, the surf was outstanding and the accommodation was very comfortable and I would certainly reccommend this lodge to anyone considering going on a surfing vacation. The wave out in front of the lodge is one the most consistent beach breaks that...

I stayed at the Popoyo beach lodge in December for one week. I had a great time. The accommodation is right on the beach and very comfortable. My sole purpose in going there was to surf as much as I could, and this location enabled me to do just that. Directly out the front of the lodge is a beach...

My husband and I stayed in PBL for 6 nights in July 2012 for our honeymoon, and could not have had a better time! Robert and Susan are the best; Susan always answered the phone and got back with emails almost immediately. Their communication is amazing. Susan also collected some rocks on the beach and shaped them into a heart...

My two sons and I spent 7 days at the Popoyo Beach Lodge and had a blast. It was our first surf trip to Nicaragua and it couldn't have been better. Owners Robert and Susan were very helpful in arranging all the details, including transportation and advice on surf spots, restaurants, and things to do. The house is very nice,...

The house is well maintained and right on the beach. The front porch is where we spent most of our time, reading and enjoying the waves from a hammock. The kitchen is well-equipped and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimming was great and there are rocks close by where you can explore tide pools. There are restaurants close...

I have been to Popoyo about 5 times and in November 2011,it was my 1st time staying at the Beach Lodge. Robert, the owner was back in the states, and when I arrived his manager ,Henry ,was right there waiting with the key to the house. I quickly put all of my belongings in the place and, being as I surf,...
