My husband and I have always stayed here, starting many years ago when PangkalanBun was a much smaller town and this hotel was still called The Blue Kechubung- - before its remodel, which we find impressive for Kalimantan. The air conditioning works in the rooms! The bathrooms are modern. We find the beds very comfortable. Europeans and Americans who are...

Came to this hotel after jungle trekking for three days in hope of a nice relaxing night and a good shower before heading off to Bali! It Was cleaner in the jungle! We arrived to our room which stank of smoke with flaking paint all over the walls, dirty looking bathroom floor tiles, missing bathroom shelf tiles, stained grey towels...

At first (very cursory) glance this hotel looked quite nice and much higher class than our other stays on this trip. Within a few seconds of entering our room we had to call reception to request hot water as it is switched off at 10am. An hour later we had called again and eventually got a shower. The shower itself...

Spent a night here after my klotok tour. Room was spacious, comfy, and clean with good aircon. I didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment on that, but the wifi worked well and I arranged a taxi to the airport the next morning through the hotel. Good place to stay for a night or two, but there's no real...

We stayed here for 2 nights - 1 night each side of a jungle trip. The first time was not so great as I booked the rooms through Agoda and they turned out to be smoking and above a karaoke bar! We were impressed with the restaurant and pool area though and also checked out some of the other rooms...

Having just spent a night in another hotel in town that was my worst ever experience, I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. I was hoping for decent and for the most part it delivered. We had just spent the last 2 nights out in the rainforest and were looking for a little bit of creature comforts. The...

After an incredible trip to Tanjung Puting National Park and Camp Leakey, our orang-utan adventure ended with a tour of Pangkalan Bun. And as the town has little to offer visitors besides a local market and some lacklustre historical sites, we'd seen everything PB has to offer within 20 minutes... With a full day to kill before our flight back...

We stayed here when our flights were cancelled after 10 hours waiting at the airport. The staff were friendly and accommodating - as a last minute booking they put us in the rooms that were not quite finished! The shower had no tiles on the floor, the shower head was wrong, there were cables sticking out the walls and cement...

Grand Kecubung becomes the top of the list of my recommendation to stay in Pangkalan Bun for my Orangutan Journey clients. Downtown located, large room, clean, and genuine hospitality of the staff are some of the reasons of having no doubt to stay in this hotel. The important aspect we need to consider is the local value. We do support...

The rooms were quite large and with good bathroom facilities. Clean and tidy, with helpful staff and a quite good restaurant. Breakfast was average, but menu options for later were better. The hotel has a gym in an older building that the new one is an extension from. This building seriously needs refurbishment, though I'm not sure that it is...
