I had a fantstic time here. Its surrounded by special wildlife. Guide Hakim a real expert. Trips on river so relaxing! Orangutans what can you say in the trees above the lodge. More people need to get outdoors and see what really matters.

The lodge has extremely friendly and competent staff with great English. The rooms are comfortable though basic with the bathrooms being very dark and the water laying stagnant in the shower. Dinner is tasty and there is enough of it to go around for sure. The location is great, within walking distance to Songai Sekonyer village if the path was...

We had a wonderful experience going to see the orangutans and staying at the Rimba Ecolodge! After trekking around in the jungle, with the heat and travelling up river in the boat everyday, it was MARVELLOUS to come back to a nice shower, cool room and a steady warm bed at night! For us, after seeing the boat accommodations on...

Two nights/ one and two half days is enough. The choice is to stay (sleep, all meals) on your klotok (boat), or to stay over two nights at Rimba Lodge. We chose the overnight-at-Rimba-Lodge option, and it worked fine. I would only do the sleep-on-klotok option if you were a family group or very close friends. Rimba Lodge is seriously...

Refernce your report on your Endang room at Rimba. We will look into your comments and thank you for your support. One of our tours is combined klotok and lodge which may be more appropriate.

We stayed at Rimba Lodge and took the 4 days 3 nights package. They picked us up at the airport and transferred to the boat, Rimba King which is so comfortable. We saw a wild orangutan on the way to the lodge. That was just the beginning. Every experience was great. Mr Hakim is fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and funny....

Thank you for your review on your experience with us at the Rimba. We especially thank you for your comments on our guides Ucok Hakim and Aris and our new boat the "Rimba King". Ecolodges Indonesia only employs local people as a specific conservation measure. Ucok is our Chief Guide at this lodge and thank you for all your support.

Just returned from another amazing holiday at the Rimba Lodge – for the 4th time over 11 years. Our room was lovely with a kettle and drinking water supplied. All the food was very good – especially as I’m a vegetarian. Our incredible tour guide, Hakim, was very aware of many aspects of wildlife. We visited Camp Leakey and other...

If you wish to visit the orang-utans and stay overnight, there are 3 accommodation options. 'Live a board' river boats, a homestay and the Rimba Eco lodge. The Lodge is the least adventurous option but as you are in the jungle you should also adjust your expectations accordingly. Accommodation is basic but perfectly functional. Our room was an 'emerald room'...

Good place to stay if you don't want to stay on the boats. But my advise is to stay on the boats also. Rustic rooms and boardwalks. Comfortable with AC, clean, good food at reasonable prices considering where the lodge is situated. Short walk to the village for some interaction with the locals. They have boats and can organise trips...
