Visited here on a voucher, so was good value., but I would be happy to pay full price. Lovely venue, and staff very helpful when I needed to move rooms . Rooms are spotless and comfy, the 2 bathrooms I saw are a bit odd( up stairs within the room / in a very big room) but they too are...

After a bit of a panic booking on Friday night for a spontaneous weekend road trip, my husband and I did not really know what to expect of this hotel. We arrived just after 7pm after parking in the nearby car park. For clarity, the car park may not be on the hotel property but it's very close by, easy...

We stayed here for two nights this month, Oct 2015, as we did in 2014. Last time I reviewed it I gave 5, this time only 4. Accomodation wise we asked for and got the same room as last year, room 6, a big twin with a window overlooking High Street and another overlooking Market Place. The bathroom is also...

Thank you for your comments. Try as we might we do not always get everything right and I appreciate this was a big thing for your wife, which was dissapointing for you all, I can only apologise. With regards to the cooking aromas, we are an ancient building and the kitchen is located at some distance from the dining rooms,...

One of the best room's I've stayed in a hotel, and one of the more comfier beds. Large, spacious room with a fresh feel, right in the middle of the town. Service very attentive at dinner and at all times really. Food was a bit over dramatized but it was nice nonetheless. Bathroom was very big and looked recently refurbed....

No parking. Have to leave car in street overnight and then run out and move it by 8am - less than desirable and not pointed out when booking. The room I was shown to cost £80 per night B&B and was incredibly tatty - holes in door, dark scuff marks up wall, plastic wall lights mended with large doses of...

I am very sorry to hear of your recent experience, I have read the points you laid out & would like you to contact me personally so I can address this complaint individually, as the complaints you have made are not the normal Bell experience as you can see from other reviews. Also the staff working on the shifts have...

Simply the best hotel in town, not that is because it is the only hotel in town! Well run with good accomodation and great breakfast. Even there's no completions around here it still does its best to be the best!

We stayed at the Bell at Sax for a Shooting and Golf trip at nearby High Lodge. It is a grand coaching house. Big rooms, high ceilings, lovely feeling of space. The bedrooms are of a generous size and the beds are comfortable. The highlight however is the food and in particular the fish. On the first night I had...

We stayed for a wedding in the family room- it's huge. All the staff at the hotel were really accommodating with our little girl keeping milk and food in the fridge and heating it for us when we needed it. They had set up the cot for us for when we arrived. We had dinners at the hotel and the...

Took my family, parents and grandparents out for sunday lunch here. The people on the phone where very helpful and the service and venue were welcoming. The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious. Very impressed and the prices were reasonable. An all-round positive experience. We shall be going back again.

We only used the Restaurant of this small town Hotel but arrived to a very casual welcome, took our table to study what is a long and quite interesting menu. I ordered a sprat starter & confit of Lamb to follow & the quality & presentation was good but the quantities enormous. The spratts were a meal in themselves so...
