Detailed Reviews
Very relaxing and clean
Review of Ternhill Farm House
We booked the Ternhill Farm House as we were attending a family birthday party a short distance away. When we arrived we received a lovely warm welcome from a lady on reception. Our room on the second floor was spacious, bright, extremely clean and very comfortable with various nice little touches like pieces of flapjack to enjoy with a brew!. The breakfast on the following morning was hot and nicely presented with probably the best bacon i've ever tasted. The only reason i've not given a 5 is down to one thing and that was being told quite abruptly by a man who i'm guessing was the owner that water was coming from our shower and could we ensure that the shower door was closed. I'm not 10 years old and i don't expect to be talked to like it especially as there wasn't even a drop of water on the bathroom floor, obviously a leak somewhere which was nothing to do with us!. Don't let that put you off from booking though, Ternhill is a lovely, relaxing place to stay.

Absoloutely beautiful 1 night stay. The owners were so friendly and really couldn't do enough to help you, felt so very welcome. We stayed in the "Wem" Room and it was beautiful, spotlessly clean and again so much attention to detail, even down to the lovely flapjacks. The room was quiet even though facing a busy road, not one sound was heard . Such a quaint full of character place.
Breakfast was so tasty and very promptly served. We will definately be returning but staying for longer this time so we can really enjoy the beautiful place and its surroundings.

A great deal of effort has gone into making the stay pleasurable.
There are loads of little extras in the room, home made flapjack, many choices of hot drinks, cold water in fridge, razor, ear plugs and many more!
The owner was very friendly and helpful and I spent the evening sat in the garden!
Breakfast menu unusual, lots of choice.
I would stay there again if in the area

What a find. We went up to Shropshire for a wedding and decided to stay two nights and we are so pleased we did. I would always choose a B&B over a hotel anyway, as I feel you get far better individual service, however, we were very pleasantly surprised with this one. The hosts could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. They made us feel completely at home for the second we arrived. Their attention to details is amazing and they'd literally thought of everything we needed and made sure it was on hand.
We had a room with an adjacent bathroom, rather than en-suite, but this was absolutely fine. We were the only ones who had the use of this and the floor was so quiet we saw no one. We were also supplied with bathrobes which were very useful.
The room was incredibly comfortable and the supersize bed was amazing. We both slept very well. The property is just off a major roundabout, but we quickly got used to the road noise and were supplied with earplugs for sleeping anyway (just in case).
All in all a great stay, great people, great food. We would not hesitate to recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

I only stayed for one night, I booked the Ironbridge room, very cosy with beautiful decor, lovely view to the garden and the little pond. The room was very tidy, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The complimentary tea, coffee and water were provided, the ear foam plugs were very thoughtful but I didn't need it as the noise level was not bad at all. The breakfast room was very cosy with beautiful humorous pictures of cows (wish I took a photo then) , AGA cooked breakfast with high quality products was a treat and coffee was just perfect. The host were very welcoming and kind, loved meeting their little senior terriers Tilly and Rosie (if I remember the names correctly). If I visit Shropshire I'll be definitely be booking with Ternhill Farm House.

The accomdation has a lovely feel and everything is well thought out to make even a short stay complete.
The breakfast will be exactly as you ordered as you prebook and this was a nice touch especially if you are a little time pressured.
I can honestly say one of the best and good value with lovely rooms and ensuite shower

Just an overnight stay whilst in transit to meeting up with friends. We wanted somewhere more interesting than a travel lodge.
Ternhill was certainly that a wonderful building with period details. The bedroom was "Shrewsbury" again I chose it because the bathroom included a bath probably the longest tub I have ever seen. Every little detail had been thought through. Fridge with fresh milk and what seemed to be home made small ginger biscuits, good quality toiletries, even the two comfortable chairs in a little seating area near the TV. At the back of the building is a private car park.No time for breakfast unfortunately the choices were exceptional. This is truly a find if are in the area.

We were very impressed with all aspects of the farmhouse, the facilities, food and service were excellent.
All our requirements were catered for and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this location to other guests.
It was particularly well located for the wedding we were attending at Tern Hill hall, which was an easy walk away.

Beautiful, large old farm house. The room was bright, clean and extremely relaxing. Facilities for a relaxing stay were great: clean bathroom with all the extras you might need, tea, coffee, fresh milk, homemade flapjacks! And the comfort of the bed was exceptional. TV in the room if you need it. Free and stable Wifi. The breakfast was exceptional. Location is very close to a busy roundabout but the property is triple glazed so you don't even notice. Perfect stay, the best B&B I've ever stayed at and definitely better than a Travelodge etc. Thanks for your kind hospitality.

+1
First time I've stayed, but it will not be the last. I pulled into the parking area, which was ample for the property, and went into the reception where I was given a warm welcome by Jo. She shown me to my room which was large, and immaculately clean. The bathroom was excellent, and the shower was first class. There was a good choice of bathroom soaps and very fresh linen. The room itself was large with a huge bed, which was extremely comfortable. It had a fridge, with fresh milk in it for the great selection of teas , coffees and hot chocolates. It was well presented with appropriate furniture with a nice seating area in front of the TV. Jo also had an honesty bar which guests are invited to help themselves to drinks, of wine, spirits, beers, and leave a note to enable her to charge the guest the following morning. The whole farm is first class, with great accommodation and superb customer service. I fully recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the area, and I'll be returning whenever I'm in the area. Many thanks Jo. Top lady, from Dave Hand
