Misses the mark. Had to wait. 2 hour over check in time I had to wait for my room. No complimentary beverages in lobby even though the cart says there is. It was empty all day! At check They said I had to pay for breakfast even though I had to wait until 5 pm to check in! Disappointed

Hotel's Favourite
Of the only two hotels on Murano, this one is the better deal. Still new when we visited, this renovated glass factory felt – oddly enough – a bit too clean, design-wise. Since it was the end of June, the hotel seemed fully staffed, although the 100 or so rooms were far from fully occupied, yet. This led to amusing scenes of the staff chatting among themselves, in an animated Italian way. Anyway, we lacked nothing and the service was very friendly. We first stayed in a room with park view. We were a bit worried that youngsters in the park would keep us awake, but that turned out to be unfounded as the park closes at night. On the other hand, the park view added little extra, as it turned out to be just a play park for young children. The Navagero vaporetto stop is just around the corner. In fact, the distance you could potentially walk across the hotel grounds is the same as the distance alongside the canal to the vaporetto. The longitudinal layout of the hotel makes it easy to miss the lobby bar, and we did. The terrace, on the other hand, is not to be missed, as it offers a free and unobstructed view of an uninhabited lagoon. It makes you wonder what the fuss is all about of Venice being overcrawled with tourists. NH Collection Murano definitely feels a bit off the beaten track, quiet, relaxing, la vita e bella-vibe, yet at the same time up to standards with what you can expect from a four-star modern hotel – yet it is much better priced than lesser hotels on Venice island.

Result of long study and desire to visit Venice. Arrived at rail station and travelled to hotel by water taxi arranged by hotel (€80 cash). Excellent reception. Rooms in Venice can be modest in size and this was no exception, but was fully made up for by provision of large terrace, which made all the difference. Terrace had table and chairs and shaded mini sofa. Facilities included large walk in shower (no bath) and bidet, safe, kettle and Levazzo coffee maker. Soap and shampoo were in dispensing bottles, so you cannot take them home. Housekeeping was a little miserly with replacement tablet soap, coffee pods and shower caps. In intense heat AC worked well but dripped. Evening meal was adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Generally hotel had some couples and family traffic but Clarins had a conference running some for the time we were there. Hotel provided a scheduled shuttle service at €6.50pp rtn to St Mark's area, which was excellent compared to water buses. Murano itself is much quieter than Venice and is better for it. If we were returning, unlikely, would certainly consider this hotel.

Me and my wife stayed in various NH in Europe and this was ur first time at the Murano location, I must say the structure looks pretty well looked after and very well cleaned. The stile of the architecture recalls lots of its former glass making factory past with a hint of modern design! I also should mention the amazing panorama on the terrace. The food looks grate well presented, the only downside is the price unfortunately! A special mention to Guido and Alessandro for making ur night very special!

Central location in Murano and not far from Venice, about 20 minutes with the ferries. New Hotel in a old glass factory. Rooms are quiet nice and I had a view on the lagoon! A must try for a calm stay.

In the middle of my stay but felt I should flag early how beautiful and bespoke the spa area is here. A lovely list of treatments - I spent two hours there with therapist Elizabeth - she is amazing ! I have had many spa treatments all around the world and this was the very best. As well as being a really lovely friendly lady Elizabeth is experienced in holistic therapy and really knows her stuff ! Only thing missing is a plunge pool / hot tub in the spa otherwise would have been 5 stars all round. Thank you again Elizabeth for such a warm welcome xxx

Beautiful hotel, an old glass factory turned into a very nice hotel. Nice design, great and friendly reception staff. Has its own private pier for convenient arrivals and departures for visiting other islands and or airport. Unfortunately we found that the hotrl does not use its potential. It has a beautiful and stylish outdoor terrace ne t to teh restaurant and a beautiful deck overlooking the lagoon. Unfortunately these areas did not have any waiting staff and we found it too often cluttered with used glasses from previous guests which was a bit a disappointment. Would we recommend the hotel, yes! Would we go back Yes.

The hotel is stylish and sleek. But I have to say that it was somewhat characterless. No vibrance. Definitely not the stuff for a holiday. The bar is all but nonexistent and devoid of people. The staff are ok. But the place feels corporate. So no one's looking to welcome guests. It's a nice hotel but it's facilities are limited as you don't really feel like using them because they're so unwelcoming. Room service is not as advertised. Bar and restaurant were also not accessible for a couple of days when we stayed due to the hotel reserving them for a group booking.

We stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. The hotel looked great and was well-maintained. Our room was small, but in line with what you expect in a city centre - and in good condition. I was impressed by the staff - the front-desk were warm, welcoming and enthusiastic. The man running the restaurant was very willing. However…. The hotel is short-staffed and unable to provide the services it advertises. Staffing is an issue generally, but it should be clear what it can (and cannot) provide when people book. For instance, the main bar was closed for the duration. It was possible (in theory) to get a drink from the restaurant bar, but there was nowhere to drink it other than the seating area in the main corridor. The restaurant was unable to accomodate many guests for dinner. I sat on Saturday night and watched as they turned away at least two groups at 8pm because they had not booked. Both groups had only arrived that day, so were unaware of the hotel’s staffing issues. One group included a child of c. 6 and a child in a pushchair - they clearly just wanted to feed the tired kids and get them to bed. It is not unreasonable for hotel guests to expect to get food at 8pm on a Saturday night in an international hotel. The website says they offer room service, but I was unable to get a room service menu - I think it had been suspended. The menu in the main restaurant was quite restricted, too (I guess due to staffing). If you simply wanted a burger or a sandwich, there was no offer at all. In many/most cities, this wouldn’t be a problem - you could fall out of the hotel and find a burger restaurant anywhere. This is not the case on Murano, however. The staff were doing the best they could under the circumstances, but the hotel management need to consider being more up front with guests that they cannot currently provide the 4 star facilities/offer people expect - and are paying for.

We had a lovely stay here over the Easter weekend, room and breakfast very good value for money and we enjoyed being away from the busyness of Venice. The room was exactly like the marketing photos. If you can cope with getting the vaporetto into venice / burano etc then this is a great location! Most of the staff extremely friendly however we found the man who worked in the restaurant during the day came off a bit rude and also said there was no food available on two occasions as it’s only a small kitchen despite the hotels website saying the snack bar is open. Apart from this all of the staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
