I loved this place so much I ended up staying for two weeks and could've moved there forever. What an amazing, serene, and soul healing place. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the beds are super comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, the grounds are so gorgeous and beautiful.. the list goes on and on. Truly a treasure in Argentina....

Rooms are good, service is fun. It could be great, except... it stinks. The garden stinks. All around outside stinks. For anyone who does not know what a bad kept animal farm smells like, they'll tell you it's """compost""". It's not. They have neighbors that have animals that do NOT clean and keep them properly. It reeks. Then they say...

Hostels don't get any better than this . . . great staff, lovely grounds and living spaces/kitchen/dining, yoga, brewery, restaurant - all onsite!! Easy bus access from town. Need a base in El Bolson? - or a few day break from traveling? - this is the spot. We relaxed in the garden in hammocks, did a yoga class, enjoyed a...

Stayed here for a couple of nights mid January. The hostels land is beautiful and the fellow travelers are all welcoming and like-minded. The newly built pub is beautiful and the beers are even better. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm with an ensuite and the beds were warm and comfortable. The only downside is that there are not...

We had planned to stay here for 3 days but immediately had to extend our stay. This is honestly the best hostel that we've ever been to. The food is incredible (for dinner we had lamb stew) and every morning they provide freshly baked bread. Everyone was so friendly and made us totally feel at home. Although it's a little...

The hostel is run by wonderful, multilingual travellers. It has comfortable beds, clean linen and towels (at no extra cost). Breakfast has no set time and the homemade brown bread and jam superb. There are two immaculate bathrooms, waiting never seemed a problem. The owners are founts of information about treks and will ring other hostels to make reservations. The...

Travelling with our 2 year old daughter, we can't just stay in any old hostel. This place is no Milhouse, its really something a little special. A cross between a Bavarian chalet and an English country house plumped down in a beautiful, laid back part of Patagonia. Had we have not needed to move on, we would have undoubtedly stayed...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
How many times in your travels have you found yourself imagining the ideal place to rest your weary bones; a place that speaks the language of the merry traveler, understands the beauty of small comforts, and shares with you this same dream of the ideal place for any traveler. Can you imagine a paradisiacal park intertwined with winding canals that open into sparkling ponds connected by Monet-like bridges? Imagine a breathtaking backdrop of lavender plantations, hundreds of native and exotic trees, the river Quemquemtreu babbling by, and the majestic presence of the Andean Mountains looming above on all sides. If you can imagine all of this, imagine in it's midst a beautiful wooden house, the vision of an artist, with it's open, inviting spaces, grand fireplace and wood-burning stoves, the solarium opening up to the expansive garden, and with it's dormitories and double rooms that offer the comfort and tranquility you have been longing for in your journey. Imagine now waking in the peacefulness of this place and rising to a breakfast of homemade breads and jams. Or returning from one of El Bolson's many lovely hikes on a warm summer's day to share an artisanal beer in the garden with the other guests. Then come evening, imagine a delicious homemade meal, a pizza, a picada, or feeling at home in the fully equipped kitchen where you can whip up your own magic. If you can envision all of this, then you share our grand vision of what makes a hostel truly unique, and the dream made reality that awaits you here in Patagonia. ... more   less
