Great 4x4 only ride up the pass. Area is desolate but the highest pub in Africa is a blast. Descent camping. Good internet. Yummy dinner. Highly recommend spending the night here are your way into Lesotho.

We do have gas heaters in each Backpacker rooms, however gas can be purchased from reception at R200, alternately you can bring your own cadac gas container. April is a good time of the year as far as temperature is concerned however it all depends on what you regard as cold. Temperatures would be around 18deg C at this time. The Backpackers does have its own lounge with a fireplace which is lit in the evening.
