Location is fantastic. Wales has some great places to stay and this is one of them. As a cycling district the lodge is specifically set up for this, they offer courses and trips around the parks where the lodge is located. The rooms are basic but spacious, But it's all about the location. I imagine this would be great through...

Staff were lovely, very helpful & incredibly welcoming. Great rooms, all very clean & tidy. Food was fabulous. The place was perfect for a weekend of mountain biking...even if the weather let the side down slightly! Will definitely stay here again, can't recommend highly enough. No negatives at all to speak of, but I wonder...any plans for a hot tub?!...

Called in with friends for an evening meal following a day out, and what a meal! We only chose basic meals - steak and chips and chicken in mozzarella with sauté potatoes, but everything was piping hot and cooked to perfection. To add to this, they have real ales available and the service was second to none. Can recommend dropping...

Had 2 nights here for a mountain biking weekend with 2 mates. Perfect location for biking in between both visitor centres with beautiful views from the bedroom and the bar area. The owner and locals have great knowledge of the trails and we're very helpful. The thing that stood out most was that ALL the staff were polite, helpful, professional...

Don't delay, book this lodge. If you want a great stay with wonderful trails on torn doorstep then this is the place for you. From the moment we walked in, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms were large and with a bath - always lovely after being on the trails! The bar has a good selection of drinks etc...

Had to stay at Afan Lodge after being driven out of the mosquito infested campsite at Glencorwg centre. But what a piece of luck - great accommodation and safe bike store. Plus lovely rooms, food and drinks. And everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommmend it - and we'll be back for another stay now!

We stayed at the Afan Lodge when visiting friends that live nearby and were impressed by the place. Given that it caters for mountain bikers, hikers and other recreational pursuits, we didn't quite know what to expect. The room had great aircon and superb views over the Afan Forest. The wifi was very patchy but one could get a decent...

We chose Afan lodge because it was only 7 miles from Margam Park where the Dragon ride starts and the Hotel advertised secure bike storage. At the last minute we were kindly allowed to add a third person to our room and a camp bed was placed was given to us. The room was plenty large enough to cope with...

Always wanted to stay at this gem and finally managed it. Great location between all the rides, didn't have to move the car for the whole weekend, just rode my bike. Every member of staff that we met were happy and eager to help which was refreshing. Clean large rooms, nice bar which served a fab Merlot and good restaurant...
