As seen in the movie "The Grand Budapest Hotel." Have fun reading these reviews - go on, add your own! Just don't try to book a visit here, because this fictional place doesn't really exist.

They secured for me front row aisle seats for a first night at the Opera Toscana with one day's notice! How does that happen? Charming concierge. Also, try the cakes at Mendl's. Stunningly good, darling.

Chilly winter as one would think at this time of year. Pleasant greetings and truly fabulous stay. First class standard. Will return. I have promised Mr Gustave a meeting with my mother, he seems eager to meet her.

It was low season when I visited, and although the hotel still lived up to its 'grand' name, it was clear it wasn't what it once was. There were few other guests, and they kept their distance whilst remaining friendly. There was a general silence about the place, not unpleasant, rather relaxing in fact. The concierge struck me at once...

From the moment I arrived, following a particularly nasty bout of Scribe's Fever, I was greeted by a lobby boy who was; as a lobby boy should be; a complete stone wall. L'Air de Panache wafted throughout the place and there was Mendl's upon arrival. I spent the evening with an 84 year old vision of loveliness, the only downside...

Having recently enjoyed spending an hour or two here I have to say do not stay on the 6th floor near the elevator as there are several notable bullet holes here and there. It's quite off putting. Having said that everything else was fine although it could do with a bit of T.L.C. A must is 'Mendls' bakery/patisserie, much better...

What a dream like place, after I visited I wondered if it was all true or not?? Took 4 days to get to this hotel and the cable car ride is just weird. A must go place if you can ever find it. Saw it on a TV film and just knew I had to go there. Expect a very...

What can this mere mortal add that has not been said already? To what excesses of hyperbole can I reach that can come close to describe the wonder that is The Grand Budapest Hotel? Suffice to say, as one comes to expect M. Gustave is the positive soul of courtesy (and discretion.) He even arranged an impromptu floor show with...

My second stay at the Grand Budapest Hotel was terribly disappointing and very unlike my first stay there. While the staff was rather congenial, if not a tad bit dramatic during my first visit, I found the staff a bit peevish, on edge, and altogether rude this time around. First of all, the famous pastries at Mendel's that I have...

We were hoping to get the Senior Executive Suite that came with a package deal including a 100 meter long buffet (always open except for 15 minutes/day when staff are refreshing the food) and an olympic size swimming pool. Also, we heard a chocolate bungee ride was included in the monthly, but it can't be verified vecause the never respond...
