I arrived late due to my flight being delayed however I received such a warm welcome after travelling all day. Given a fresh coconut and taken up to my room. I didn’t have the appropriate travel adapter but they found me one straight away to borrow. Food every day was very tasty and cooked well. The location was picture perfect, everything and more that I imagined. They even got me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday after dinner! Staff super friendly and accommodating. Room was basic but very comfortable. Beautiful all round.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I spent three wonderful nights at Reveries. We loved everything about our stay. They arranged our travel from Male', picked us up, and immediately created a welcoming atmosphere on our arrival with fresh coconut water. We swam and snorkeled off their beautifully maintained beach, we went on a snorkeling expedition on their boat (assisted by their friendly and knowledgeable dive staff), we rode bicycles. A highlight for us was the tour of the history and natural features of the island chain. Our guide was informative and friendly, showing us a 300+ year old Mosque, the ruins of a Buddhist site, an unusual red freshwater lake, and much more. The food and the hospitality were first rate. Every meal was a buffet with plenty of variety. Without us asking, the staff twice set up a special outdoor dinner, including one on the beach itself, with a table decorated with the petals of fresh-cut flowers. Wow! And, the price of the whole thing, including airfare, was incredibly reasonable. For a fraction of the price of fancy resort, we got to enjoy the best of the Maldives in a much more intimate setting. We would go back in a heartbeat.

My favorite place to stay in the Maldives, my Home away from Home, the friendliest staff and people, wonderful cook, amazing fishing trips and my favorite private Island picnics, this is my second visit because the first one was so amazing, unfortunately only a week this time but I have come to realize the place is magical, the fresh air, pristine beach and water is therapeutic and your health starts to improve immediately, Abbas and Zaher and the team take care of you like family, The food is healthy and tasty, their cook will make whatever you ask him to make and if he can he'll do it. I think Gan Island is the best local Island in the Maldives. You're in nature yet not far from civilization, the perfect balance.

Check-out was the hardest thing for us, because it feels like I left my family. During our stay all the staff were more than amazing. They were very nice, kind and generous. The service was great, and the overall environment makes you feel like home. Food was great and very welcoming and cooperative staff. As for the location, it is a perfect place to experience the local live, so relaxing and chilled place.

We, along with other guests, were among the first guests of the hotel after the lockdown. A small cozy diving village is not a new building and in very good, well-maintained condition. located at the end of the island, in a secluded quiet place. The territory is clean, quite large relative to the scale of the Maldives and conveniently organized. There is a fenced bikini beach in front of the hotel, there are sun beds, the hotel provides beach towels. The hotel has its own base for all kinds of water activities: you can get training and get a license for diving, surfing, being taken to a beautiful reef for snorkeling, which is really impressive, fishing, walking with dolphins when the boat is really surrounded by diving dolphins, and not looking at them from afar, trips to other islands and who knows what else, do not hesitate to ask the manager). The hotel itself with rooms in the colonial style, fits very well into the atmosphere of the local island. The photos in the account correspond to reality. The hotel staff creates a feeling of homely atmosphere, no intrusiveness, but any help. Everything that may depend on your vacation from the hotel, you will receive.

I advise all lovers of a secluded, serene rest, tired of the bustle of the city, to spend their vacation in this wonderful hotel. We stayed their almost alone during the pandemic. Peace and silence. The general manager and all the other hotel staff did their best to ensure that our vacation was of the highest standard. They gifted us scarfs, magnets, a sink. Unfortunately, during a pandemic, it is forbidden to move independently, but a hotel employee took us to all attractions, shops, and the market for free at any time convenient for us. The gorgeous reef stretches along the entire island, almost like Ras Mohamed in Egypt, but the corrals are a little discolored. Almost all species of coral fishes , many tripangs, moray eels, reef sharks, huge mantas, turtles, colorful tridacnas live on this reef. We snorkeled every day for free. We were also taken to snorkeling on the main reef. There are sharks, turtles, and mantas of larger size. IT was incredible. The sea and sand are not worse than in expensive hotels.

The place is located just in front to the nice bikini beach. The rooms are comfortable and the staff - day by day - try to help you as much as they can. The food can be better (especially breakfast) but the atmosphere of the place was nice and after few days you will be a part of the family. They con offer a good range of activities but the price are still too high! I would suggest them to make their prices lower (the half of the actual ones) to "force" the customer to do something different day by day instead of staying always at the bikini beach. The staff is nice, the contact we had by mail before going there was very professional and they organized all transfers perfectly. They offered us a San Valentine dinner and another night they have been available to cook our own fishes. This was really appreciated!

This small resort is the best we could expect for our winter vacation. It's a 3 stores building facing on the beautiful Laamu atoll lagoon. There's a pool, a SPA and a Gym. The garden is lovely and used to serve dinner on Saturday evening. Just outside the village you can find the private beach equipped with a big place to grill and have dinner, a shower, inflatables for guests, many hammocks, sunbeds and beach umbrellas. They provide beach towels. In this hotel you can take advantage of many organized excursions. The most rated one is the pic nic on the desert island with snorkeling session. It was AMAZING. We brought own masks and fins and we spotted 3 turtles, 4 sting rays, one eagle ray and a big fish I think they call Ugly. Everything surrounded by thousands of little coloured fishes. The beach is wonderful facing both on the lagoon an on the ocean side. Sunscreen is highly suggested. Food is good, we had a look to the kitchen and it's super clean and tidy. We didn't go with full board since main dishes are absolutely huge and less expensive than the buffet. If you need you can find a small supermarket at walking distance. The sea is in an absolute Maldivian style, hot shallow water in which you could rest for hours, there are also swings. Pros: The absolute kindness and responsiveness of the staff. They are extremely welcoming and always ready to fix some little issue we found. They really deserve their business to run in the best way. All of them are really professional and nice. Cons: The first day was really quiet and stuck to the idea of Maldives. From the second day on a noisy big family checked in (26 persons plus children) and the place was more similar to a crowded summer beach. I think these groups are not educated to travel, they were talking loudly on the beach, screaming on the hotel stairs and corridors, you can imagine what dinner could be. The staff understood and helped us to find our quite places both on the beach and at dinner. Anyway I think they should be more direct and tell those arrogant and selfish people they are not the only guests and they are not at home, but they should respect also other guests. We asked to change our sheets after a first check and to clean better the floor. Both things were done immediately and without any problem for us. Maybe they should took more care about coconut cleaning, when windy they fall from very high palms and cause severe injuries. Take the mosquito repellent, some day they could be bothering especially if you like the shadow under the trees.

We stayed here from 24th December to 1st January. It was supposed to be from 23rd December but there was no flight after our flight to Male. The hotel arranged a transition hotel for us and people to pick us up and to bring us to the cosmetic the next day. All these were covered by the hotel as I already paid for the stay at this resort. Resort The front desk was really helpful and helped us to book our internal flights in advance. The waiters, housekeepers and everyone else were really helpful, so we really enjoy our stay with them. The resort has a private beach with beautiful sand where you can hang out. You can even rent paddle board or snorkel on the house reef. The resort has a small gym and a spa which we both used. I had a hot stone massage which was great. Food The restaurant provides a variety of food every night and they tried to make every night different. The food was great and we loved it. I especially liked the Christmas Eve cake called Butterscotch Red Velvet Cake which might not look appealing yet tasted so good! One of the best cake in my life. You can also choose to dine at Cafe 20 if you want, the price there is lower. We normally went there for lunch, coffee or tea. Activities We went there for diving. We dove 4 days and had 2 dives each day. We aimed for 6 days but the weather wasn’t desirable for us. We saw some stingrays, eagle rays, sharks and turtles. However, we would recommend the snorkelling as well where you could take a boat to some other islands. You got to see eagle rays, stingrays and turtles as well, not as tiring as diving. When we did paddle boarding near the private beach, we also saw some turtles and stingrays. You can always enjoy the sunset everyday at 6ish at the beach deck for 30 minutes. New Year Eve Dinner It was the best NYE dinner we ever had. Food was awesome and we had this dinner on the beach where they offered live music. Dinner began at 8pm but the party didn’t end until 1am. The local performed traditional dance and music which every guest enjoyed very much. It was amazing! After that, there were some live music and then the disco music began. All the guests danced until countdown. The resort really put a lot of effort to make this great although there were only less than 20 guests at the resort. Conclusion I stayed at Club Med before in one of the water Bungalows in 2012. It was nice and beautiful as you would imagine, as you saw on the commercial. However, I would prefer this resort because you were actually interacting with local people and supporting local business. Of course, it is not as fancy as those 5 star hotels but I learned so much more about Maldives than taking Instagram pictures. We had some problem at the resort and the kind and charitable manager helped us immediately. We were happy with the way he handled things. That exact same problem occurred at Club Med but the French manager there failed to help us.
