Ana the owner was super helpful, as was her son. The place itself it very cute, the rooms were comfortable, the fridge well stocked with water and beer, and a great breakfast was provided too. This place is not in Trinidad, but Casilda, which is USD 5 cab ride from town (although it is closer to the wonderful beach). Ana helped us with taxis, transfers, and organising a day trip on a boat too. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Ana and her family are very welcoming and accommodated our large group, they were quick to aid in information about getting in and around trinidad, finding the best possible deals for us. All rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. There were A/C + Fans, and hot water with great pressure. Each of our rooms also included a stocked mini fridge. Not to forget there's a terrace, which was perfect for our group to hang out on evenings. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend to others!
Anna was helpful and saved our holidays more than once.. very friendly staff and definitely a beautiful place.. clean, spacious and functional bedrooms.. the place is very private and gives a cozy feeling.. breakfast and dinner super well served and delicious..
Ana has gradually improved her property and now has a lovely 4 roomed hostal, the layout of the place is great with a roof terrace and plenty of places to sit and chill. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, bright and comfortable, the best of our trip. Casilda is 5 km from the beach and 5 km from the centre of Trinidad, this suited us we did beach during day and centre at night and it costs 5 cuc to go to either. Casilda itself also has places to eat, we had a lovely meal at the Palador Marinera, Ana also does evening meals but we didn´t eat there. We wanted to stay an extra day, making it 4 nights but she couldn´t fit us in, which was a shame in hindsight because we found 4 nights in Havana too many. Ana is really lovely, couldn´t fault it. Highly recommend.
This hostal is fantastic! The room and the bathroom were really clean and huge. We felt really lucky to try their breakfast and dinner, which were both great. The owners were very welcoming and sweet! We wish we could stay more! Thank you for everything!
we spent two nights there. very clean place. Maria speaks fluently German, therefore good for German people. Very good food. Very friendly. She can giv you advice what to do while you are there. It is not to far from the city and the lovely beach. Therefore a good starting point for trips.
Hi there, if you want to sleep in a quiet and peaceful place, it's the perfect house. The rooms are very very clean and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and they will help you if you need a taxi, informations about activities or talking about life in Cuba. You will meet wonderful people with a good heart. I will go back again without hesitation. Have a good trip ! : )
It's difficult to improve upon all the other reviews. Ana's hostal is a great place to stay only minutes from the hustle and bustle of Trinidad. Ana is a great host, able to arrange excursions and taxis, provide advice about things to do, prepare excellent meals and, in general, make one's stay pleasant. We enjoyed walking around the little town of Casilda in the evenings, after dinner, saying hello to folks and taking in the atmosphere. As others have noted, the rooms were large, clean, had working a/c and fans, abundant hot water and good water pressure. The rooftop terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon and evening and enjoy the cooling breeze. Ana's meals were among the best that we have had in Cuba - always more food than we could eat! Breakfasts were great with a different fresh juice every day and a variety of fresh fruit, bread, rolls, eggs and delicious coffee. Our only regret was not having more time to talk with Ana about life in Cuba!…
As a solo traveler I spent 5 nights at Ana's casa. The room was comfortable, large, included a fridge, fan and air conditioner. The house is located 3 km south of Trinidad and is a little oasis of foliage and calm when you step through the gate. I enjoyed the roof top seating (note to guests, when you move the cast iron chairs- the loud noise is heard by the person occupying the room underneath, please be considerate). Ana has lots of suggestions for things to do. She and her husband took turns taking me to Trinidad town on their scooter (there is a cost) and I rented one of their bicycles to cycle to the beaches. Ana and her mother's cooking is delicious & you can arrange to have dinner in their outdoor courtyard. One day I had the most amazing shrimp cooked to perfection & another day boeuf bourgignon. Portions are large! As others have previously reported, rooms are cleaned daily (I think they even change the sheets daily but I asked them to not bother to change the sheets). The rooms are quiet. Despite the fact that the house borders on the main road to Trinidad, you don't hear much noise. There are a couple of restaurants within 5- 10 minute walking distance should you decide not to go to Trinidad. Ana- muchas gracias de Carin y gracias por convencerme fuertemente a practicar español contigo pero mi alemán es mejor que mi español! Buena suerte con el nuevo patio de cemento.…
