The place is situated in a very great location to visit Biscoitos and also to start different trails. We went in Terceira to do a lot of walking therefore we needed a kitchen to prepare sandwiches and food for the days out. This place has a large kitchen where you can even use the cookers. In the kitchen you meet lot of people to share the experiences of the day and make new friends. The rooms are large and comfortable. I really loved this place.
No reception, no instructions how to check-in, no phone number available to ask for help. Rustic lodging, zero service. Removed from any tourist attraction. since we had no instructions how to check-in and no room assignment, we had to look for different accommodations. Nasty Manager who refused to give a refund even though we didn’t stay there in the end. Miss-represented the venue as hotel on Orbitz, then changed the tune saying that’s a guest house.
Great acommodation in the north part of the island. Location is convenient for those visitors who want to experience contact with nature. It is spacious place with well equipped kitchen and all needed facilities. Builidings are in nice, eye-catching green colour. Small shop and the bus stop are just next to to the property. The dog Ramon is a perfect partner for hiking around the island. What's more, absolutely friendly owner Sergio who is always ready to help his guests and share his knowledge about Terceira made my the stay at Sawmill comfortable and memorable!
Concept of accomodation is very comfortable, clean and quiet. We find everything, what we need.you can use own or shared kitchen and other places like place for eating and bbq. Best think is Sergio, the owner. He is prototype of nice owner with smile and many tips for discovering of island.“
very remote, no staff on premises, no instructions about check in, late to reply to emails (days), 2 derelict buildings on site. Closest restaurant is 40 minute walk away (and open only 12-3 PM). wi-fi not working. emails are replied occasionally and days late.
