stayed here for 10 nights in one of the self catering units. Comfortable accommodation. Small kitchen and a lack of cooking pans but we asked for more and they were quickly provided. The three bedroom unit (the largest) has two good bedrooms but the third is a loft room over the lounge area which is very low ceiling so you...

Well-located on the historic Kongsvegen and close to the main road connecting Trondheim and Oslo, this is a cozy hotel with a nice restaurant serving local specialities. Reserve well ahead in summer..

I stayed at the lodge 4 days in August with two of my daughters. The room / apartment with one separate bed room was very well equipped with TV, free internet and a kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals. I would recommend to that as the meals are very pricy (NOK 150,- / USD 18,-) pr....

WhatI did not like was that it took about two hours before Our room was ready, and we arrived on the exact "check in time". We paid full price for one night but really we did not get to use Our room for the period we actually paid for it. The explanations was that the Whole hotel was fully booked...

We only stopped for a late lunch but we liked the place and plan to return to spend several days there. For lunch we had meatballs. It came with plenty of potatoes, gravy and stewed peas. It was filling and delicious. Afterwards we dropped by the little cafe next door to have coffee and some nice pastry. I recommend the...

We stayed here for two nights on the way to Trondheim. The rooms are super clean and well equipped, and the staff friendly and accommodating. The hotel is near to great hiking and the Snøhetta observation platform. There is definitely room for improvement in terms of food quality, but everything else is very nice.

An incredibly beautiful place, quiet, amongst the mountains. A family run hotel, with a simple but oh so warm and welcoming service. Good solid meals. A "sitting room" area with fireplace and lovely comfy coaches everywhere. And horses like you've never seen before...

We spent one nigth here on our way north. Comfortable price, cozy room and good beds. Had to pay extra for linnens and towells. We ordered a room for three persons and were upgraded to a room with 2 bedroms as we were travelling one couple+ one singel (up to 6 persons could live there). Nice gesture of them.

Stayed one night after a 3 day trek in the Dovre mountains. Typical cosy mountain hotel. Nice room and good food. Very nice living room / lounge with fireplace in the reception area. Friendly and helpful staff.

The panoramic view from the hotel is outstanding. The room average but super-clean. However, the meals (dinner and breakfast) were a disappointment. It was more like cafeteria style and not very tasty. Unfortunate the hotel staff was not very friendly or helpful. But for those that like horseback riding the hotel owns a great number of beautiful and fit horses....

“When booking talk with the staff about your planned activities, some rooms are more practical than others if you frequently get back with muddy boots and your fishing gear. You can pay more to get a good view, but may also have to order well in advance.”
