Our tour group stayed at this hotel two years ago, and was again booked here for this tour. Students and teachers all loved the location right on the ocean and it was especially lovely to sit and eat our meals in the open air covered area with the views and sounds of crashing waves! The beach is not swimmable due... More

The North American owner should sell this hotel to someone willing to put renovation money into it to make it the outstanding hotel it could be. The buildings themselves are rapidly falling apart, i.e. the roofing soffits rotting away, the interiors need a coat of paint and redecorating and the bathrooms a definite upgrade required. This hotel reminds me of... More

Terraza used to be considered a nice hotel... maybe about 10 years ago? What was once the original and possibly best place to stay in Hermosa is now a pretty washed up has been. It's unfortunate but true. +1 for the location of course, +1 for having nice staff, but that's about it. It's worth it to pay more for... More

Can't beat the location and landscaping. Beautiful property and beach and surfing Rosie for ... but I don't surf. So, I cared more about room security and personal security. Hotel was lacking in both regarding our room and our friends room. Our room (126) had defective shower head that we asked to have repaired/replaced. That was not done. We had... More

Worst place I've ever stayed. Run down and full of roaches. The bedspreads are dirty. We are getting bitten by some critters during the night. The view of the ocean is beautiful but there are many beach hotels along the ocean. Stay at one of those. The staff are friendly people. With a tour group so we can't move to... More

Great potential, friendly staff but greatly I need of a makeover. Setting is lovely, food is OK but plentiful. Mattresses are thin and uncomfortable. Small patios and porches have cheap plastic chairs - maybe. Staff is really responsive. I can see the potential; just needs a lot of cash and TLC.

Our stay was very relaxing. This resort is small and low key. Rooms are contained in a couple different buildings, each with a pool, but everything is very close together, so it all feels like one property. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, this was certainly a highlight. Meals were pretty good, considering it is all-inclusive. Not a... More

Restaurant has very good tasty local food right next to the beach. Pool is gorgeous. Room was merely adequate. Spacious bathroom, but not enough outlets, and no table or chair. Beautiful black sand beach for walking, strong surf (no swimming allowed--too dangerous. A man drowned there during our visit.)

This place charges $120+ PER PERSON!!!! The rooms are beat up and shabby. In my opinion they are just trying to rip off unweary travelers. Keep in mind that you can rent a luxyry 3br 2 bath condo in Los suenos for $300 per night. So, If you have a family or group of 3 or more, you are WAY... More
