We only stayed here for two days and that was enough. It is right by the ocean and has working A/C in the rooms. The pool is lovely and the staff are friendly enough. You get the distinct impression while you're there that they just don't care at all. I am glad we didn't stay longer than that as we...

We heard from friends that you can get a day pass for 3,000 colones per person. It allows you to use their facilities: pool, restrooms, changing rooms and showers. The hotel is a perfect location - right on the beach. There is also a simple restaurant. I was a little disappointed as the did not have any shrimp, octopus or...

This was honestly the worst hotel I have ever seen. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a hotel it was more of a dump. First off, the pictures look nothing like the hotel. The hotel claims it is a bilingual but the lady at the front desk didn't speak any english. We literally had to use google translate to ask...

We were looking for a cheap yet decent hotel to spend the last weekend before my toddler’s school started again. Playa Hermosa is an average beach with dark sand, but it’s pretty close to San José (roughly 90 minutes away), so we gave it a try. Fail. From the moment we arrived at the property, everything was disappointing: a lot...

If you're looking for a place right in front of the beach, this place will fit the bill. However, the property itself is somewhat dumpy and the room we stayed in wasn't very clean. It was overpriced. No way I'd go in the pool. Breakfast was okay. I don't recommend this property.

I enjoyed my stay here, mostly due to the fact that I did not require all the amenities of home. I stayed here primarily to surf the waves of Playa Hermosa, the room was just for sleep. Pros - The staff was very helpful and friendly - The location is excellent right on the beach, nice pool to relax after...

I'm really sad to share this experience cause I really really was expecting to have a nice time with my family and spent several days looking for a nice hotel to stay at. It was a bit overpriced considering the room conditions and worst of ALL... well If I'm paying $500 to stay in a hotel during the weekend I'm...
