We stayed for 3-nights (24-27 Sep) and it was a superb stay. The Lodge is beautiful, exceptionally well equipped and very comfortable. Although it’s in the pub car part, there was no noise and the Red Lion is a stunning pub with wonderful friendly staff, a good selection of ales and the food was exceptional. We used it as base for some lovely long walks and to explore Shrewsbury, which was a pleasant surprise.

Enjoyed a couple of nights at the Lodge over Halloween. My wife and I and our 10 month old Rottweiler were looking for somewhere to stay for the first time as a threesome - found this on cottages.com and have come away very pleased. The Lodge itself has been decorated nicely and is very welcoming and cosy. It is situated in the rear car park of the Red Lion pub which I initially thought would be noisy but my fears were unfounded. The Red Lion itself has a great restaurant and the landlords/ owners of the Lodge were friendly and obliging. Only minor gripe was the lack of privacy as every window looks out onto a part of the car park. Recommended.

We were attending an 80s music festival and booked a two night stay at The lodge at the Red Lion and I have to say the accommodation was immaculately clean, really nicely set out , in fact it felt almost new throughout. We eat at the Red Lion on Friday evening and the food and drinks were great, the staff were particularly helpful and attentive, we will certainly be booking for next year.. a brilliant stay

We were looking for a weekend break not too far from home and came across the lodge with cottages.com Booking was simple and the following day we were on our way. What a beautiful quaint modern cottage. It is in the car park however heard no noise at all and the garden to the pub just a few steps away for our little dog was enough. The lodge appears to have been recently completed, freshly painted etc. Couple of leather sofas, fridge, freezer, washer and dishwasher. 2 lovely well decorated bedrooms too. The upstairs one is really pretty. Little log burner in lounge, didnt have any wood but the pub were happy to oblige. Great hosts making sure we had everything, but otherwise left us alone. Nice location with little village shop, cafe and gifts just a few yards away. Visited close by the mere at ellmesmere which was a lovely afternoon followed by the quarry and dingle in shrewsbury the following day- both free. Would definitely recommend and I'm sure I'll be back there.

Myself, husband, 9 year old and our dog have just returned from the Lodge. Can't sing it's praises enough! Beautiful accommodation, clean, stunning and fully equipped with everything we could have possibly asked for! We were welcomed by a member of staff who showed us to the lodge, the heating had been put on for us so it was lovely and warm. Food at the pub was fabulous, they even brought it over to the lodge for us!!! Everyone we met were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be visiting here again!

Excellent accommodation , ideal for two couples and beautifully furnished. Two bedrooms and ensuite shower rooms fantastic. Great being so close to the pub which is delightful and serves lovely food. Hospitality was exceptional, couldn't do enough for you. Lovely area plenty to visit. Will definitely come again. Although next to pub was very quiet, such thick walls!

We stayed at the Red Lion Lodge for four nights as a family in April as we were visiting friend in the area. It is a cosy and well-appointed cottage, situated behind the Red Lion pub/restaurant. It looks quite newly refurbished, is well equipped and has plenty of character including a log burner, beams in the upstairs room and tasteful furnishing. The two en suite wet rooms and free wifi were a bonus! It was generally very quiet, but as it is behind the pub you just need to accept that that there will be a little noise between 10.30 and 11 as people are returning to their cars, but this didn't mar our stay.
